Felix Award for Best Historical Fic (12)
« on: August 01, 2009, 04:19:24 PM »

Gus: We're not to that award yet, Shawn. And that's still a lame joke.

Howie: Most stories tend to center on the here and now, or as we saw in the last presentation, far off into the future.

AJ: Those aliens were really cool weren't they? Really cool special effects with that space-ship sequence, too.

*Howie, Brian, Nick, and Kevin nod in agreement*

Rose (returning to her seat): Damn, I knew I was going to miss something good...

*Sam and Dean shrug; Sam apologetically, Dean...not so much*. They go to pull Julie from her near-by seat.

Kevin: Sometimes, though, it's fun to take a look into our past. Or see what it'd be like if we were born in a different time.

Brian: How would life be different if say I was born in a time when medicine hadn't advanced enough to help my heart?

AJ: Or what would it've been like to be a passenger on the Titanic?

Nick: Sounds like an excuse to torture us in another time, another place.

Shawn: And the Felix for Best Historical Fic goes to:

With runner up:

Filiklepto: Okay, I really didn't expect to be here again, so…I just want to reiterate what I said before.  Oh and also a big thank you to Nick!  I know that the Great Depression is not the happiest time period to have thrown you into, but you seem to be handling it like a pro.  Thank you!

Nick: See? Another story, another form of torture. Thanks for not killing me!

Go on to the Next Award

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeee!

I am really, really, really happy about this one  :bighug:  Thank you!  I've been working on OTR for a long time, since high school in fact (that's over five years ago!)  So it feels just wonderful to know that people are reading and enjoying it.  A big thank you to Julilly because you are one of the people who convinced me that the historical genre isn't dead!  And to everyone else, thanks for reading and reviewing--nothing makes my day quite like a brand new review from you guys <3  And thanks to the whole AC community because I never would have gotten back into my fic writing or gotten back to OTR if it weren't for you~

As for the not maiming or killing Nick, well.......... ;)

Yay guys! It always amazes me that people can take other times and fit the guys in there perfectly, like they belong. That is one talent I doubt I'll ever possess, so I admire you guys GREATLY for being able to pull it off.
