Felix Award for Most Creative Storyline (5)
Chaos:
*Meanwhile, the Criminal Minds team has taken over the Green Room to put together a profile of the culprit and is now presenting it to the other teams of investigators, the concerned AC webmaster, mods, and a few authors.*
Spencer Reid of Criminal Minds: The story notes and style of writing for GottaBeMimi's stories would normally suggest that the writer is young, perhaps just starting out as a writer. The use of...incorrect ly conjugated verbs, or seemingly made up words, would probably also indicate that English is not the writer's first language.
Julilly: I'm a site mod so I have access to get users IP addresses. I can provide you with a list of--
Reid: However, if you look closer at the stories, you might notice that despite the lack of pronouns and the aforementioned errors, the grammar and punctuation is relatively correct.
Derek Morgan of Criminal Minds: This has led us to believe that the 'author' may be trying to throw us off track and is indeed a little bit older, and most likely very familiar with the English language.
Chaos: But then why...?
Morgan: To hide their true identity. This is an individual who is desperate for attention. Perhaps they aren't getting enough feedback for their regular fiction and are hoping to gain attention by writing complete garbage.
Penelope Garcia of Criminal Minds: Guys? I did a little bit of searching online and I've found something.
Hotchner: Go ahead, Garcia.
Mare (*entering the room*): Sorry I'm late. There was a little matter of accepting that last award...
*Hotchner nods and waves her in*.
Garcia: There was a writer on fanfiction net called Baby Mimi a few years back. Her stories are quite similar to GottaBeMimi's. I'm sending you the link now.
Reid (after quickly glancing at a few of the stories): I can't believe those stories will now be stuck in my head forever.
Morgan: Having an eidetic memory must suck sometimes.
Reid: Yes.
Mare: So, GottaBeMimi is actually BabyMimi?
Morgan: I don't think so. I think what we have on our hands is a copycat. These new stories are bad, but they just don't quite achieve the level of horribleness of the originals.
Chaos: A copycat. I think I might have just the suspect for you. There's a known plagiarist you might want to look at; Julie has the information on her site: Tanja.
Julie: You might want to track her down.
Jack Malone of Without a Trace: I'll get my people on it.
*Back on stage*
AJ: Hey! This section of the script is all blacked out.
Brian: Great. So now we not only don't have the winners, but we don't have a presentation?
Kevin: Well, maybe our resident psychic can 'see' what we were supposed to say.
Shawn: But of course!
Everyone: ...
Everyone: ...
Shawn: Yeah, I got nothing…Fortunately, this next writer didn't suffer the same problem. The Felix for Best Creative Storyline goes to:

Filiklepto: Wow. Just, WOW. Let me just say that I never expected to win this category--in fact, it was pretty incredible to even be nominated--so I am truly honored that "On the Rails" has been chosen for Best Creative Storyline! I want to thank all my wonderful readers, especially the kind reader who nominated me; the judges who saw something special in my little story; and also the other talented writers in this category as they are all individuals whom I greatly admire.
Kevin: Thanks, Filiklepto!
