Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this before? I just came upon the idea very recently and it's really helped me with my writing and character developement for my non bsb writings.

Basically it's just a really short story no more than 500 words, where you are given a topic or theme and have to create some kind of story around it.

I was just curious lol you probably all have heard of it before but it was news to me.

That's sort of how my contests were run... *shrugs* I didn't know it was called Flash fiction though.

i never heard of it, but i'm skeptical since staying under 500 words for me would be really tough. i tend to overwrite i guess.

I think that's the challenge of it. To be able to not be so wordy lol I know it's tough for me too. My chapters tend to be endless sometimes.

nicksgal:
I heard about it in my creative writing class, and I've read a few, but I've never written one.
