Comedy is usually a work of fiction in which the writer seeks to amuse the reader, sometimes with subtlety and as part of a carefully woven narrative, sometimes above all other considerations . It could indeed be said that comedy aims to provoke laughter, but this isn't always as obvious as it first may seem.

Comedy fanfic started in very basic forms, written as scripts with actions plainly outlined. Since then the genre has evolved. The comedic relief in the nominated stories falls upon boy wizards, rapist sheep, the blonde one (times two), a dreamer, two castaways, and a woman having a quarter life crisis.

In each thread, I've been reading through the entries and making a guess before I looked at the winner.  I got to this one, made my guess, and then saw the winner and thought, "Aw, man, I was wrong...
