What is the scariest scene or story you have ever read?

It Stays With You was pretty freaky, given how the POVs are. It's been awhile since I've read a really scary scene. Oh, the scene with all the dead birds was pretty insane in Whatever The Night lol.

It Stays With You was scary.  Scary imagery... the attack by Darth Vader guy, the lobster claw priest guy and, of course, MINE carved all over Nick's body.

Signal to Noise was kind of scary, too, imagining those things happening to the Boys and being blogged about online.

It Stays With You is quite a scary one, I'm still reading it :)

I agree about all the dead birds in Whatever The Night May Bring.

Also in Song for the Undead when Nick first wakes up in the hospital is quite scary, he's been out of it for days and wakes to find everybody dead.  Plus when the dead start rising, especially in Brian's house, that's quite scary.

I've not read those yet.  There are loads of older stories I've not read yet.

Wow. Since I love to read scary stories a lot more lately....Mare's got this knack for freaking me out lol between Mizpah series, Whatever The Night...Lurks. ..Shadow Woods...It Stays With You..lots of her stories are scary. Song For The Undead as well, when Nick woke in the hospital, Brian's family becoming zombies...the zombies rising from the ocean..damn. That definitely had some WTF moments. But if you made me choose one, I would say It Stays, that story is just creepy but amazingly written, I love the POV's and just the mystery of it all.
