Question of the day thread number 2!
RokofAges75:
Tracy and Steph, thanks so much for mentioning Brian and AJ from Undead and Cary from Curtain Call! That means a lot that they are some of your favorites! :) Rose has written almost all of the AJ parts in Undead, so she's really the one who has made him the awesome character he is. You know I love my angst, so Brian and Cary have been two of my favorite characters to write as well!
I will be back to catch up on answering the last couple of questions later!
Rose:
Awww thanks for the mentions of Brian and AJ from Undead? Julie's written all the Brian parts so she made him the deep amazingly angsty character that he is. I love him because of his deep personal journey. :)
Ironically I need to think about my own question LOL.
One of my favorite group stories is "Why I'd Do It All Again". It's just a really sweet and cute bonding story of their return after their hiatus. It's a perfect dramedy with everything that was going on back then. The other one is an oldie lol, "Total Kaos 24/7", it's an oldie but it's rally cute and a funny story about the early days.
I think RMTW is a group story, since one of the main focuses is how the group is dealing with Nick. And I just started "Here I Stand", a story about the group now that Kevin has returned and everyone trying to adjust to that fact. I think my favorite thing about writing these type of stories is really playing with the dynamics of the group. You get to do these great bromance scenes and get to what makes them the group they are.
FrickingKaos:
For group stories, When I Grow Up and Incomplete are probably the only two I've ever written.
For reading, Total Kaos 24/7 is one of my favorites, I also like A Million Little Things. Basically all of Mare's group stories would make this list because she does such a great job at it. I also love Borrowed Time, if that counts for one and Running Up That Hill. I'd be here all day listing stories.
I would love to write another group story one day, I just haven't been inspired yet. Those kind of stories are fun to read because I love all the bromances and brotherly relationships.
mare:
Aww thanks for the group mentions guys! I love writing group stories & telling the story from all angles. Love reading them too!
I think Running up That Hill is a great example of a group story. All of the guys combining to tell the same story.
I've written a few of them, the ones you guys mentioned are the ones that come to mind. Why I'd Do it All Again. A Million Lillte Things (which I don't really remember lol) Living at the Top & Long Road Home I think are the ones that really fit in this category.
mare:
As far as your question, Rose. My favorite BSB is tough because there are too many stories and it's kind of hard to keep everything straight. I would say Nick from Ground Zero I guess is one of my favorites.
Non BSB I would probably have to go with Hambelina because she is adorable lol
