I guess when you write an AU about them, it's easier to make them a believable bad guy then if you just leave them as part of the group?
I don't think it would bother me as much to read them as not them then it would to read them as the BSB and be bad asses lol

Yeah, I do think it's easier to make it believable in AU because you can give them a different back story or put them in more extreme circumstances.

I always seem to make Kevin a asshole in my stories. Like in Forces Of Nature he's a really arrogant, jerky weatherman. I love making him mean.

I do recall reading a story once though where all kinds of shit was happening on tour and the "bad guy" was Howie. Had it been AJ or Kevin I might have believed it as canon but Howie? I bet he doesn't kill spiders lol
