Not really a question, but give us a random fact about something you've written that we might find surprising.

Guilty Roads was inspired by The Lion King.

LOL Really, it came from your favorite story Faceless and how I swear it was based on Beauty and the Beast, even though the author said it wasn't.  I wondered if I could take a Disney movie and turn it into a fanfic idea, and that is how I manufactured the idea of Guilty Roads.  The Amish = Timon and Pumbaa.  "Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hakuna Matata!"

Oh I get it. Kevin getting hurt and Nick thinks it's his fault so he runs away like Simba did! That's what I got from it.

Thanks!  I like it too; I just get stuck on it easily because I feel like I'm always trying to fill plot holes LOL.  I guess that's what happens when you force an idea instead of just waiting for inspiration to strike.

Not nearly as cool as Julie's GR/LK revelation but Darkness of Vampires was not originally my story.

No I did not steal it, the girl who was writing it sent it to me and told me she was not wanting to write it anymore because she wasn't inspired.  She told me if I wanted I could have it, so I rewrote the first few chapters that she had to be in my voice and went from there.  She was a huge fan of what I did with it.

Random non fanfic fact. I have never seen the Lion King from start to finish

I had one but I keep talking about that story and it's probably being annoying.

That's interesting.  Do you enjoy writing on it as much as you would have if it had been your own creation originally?

Has anyone else ever done that, taken over a story for someone else?

I sort of did that once; I ended up co-writing the rest of a story with a friend because it was the only way I could get her to finish it.  That was a long time ago; I don't know if I could do that now, unless it was with a story I really loved and was desperate to see finished, but even then, there are very few stories I could see myself doing justice.  It'd probably have to be a medical drama, which this one was.  It was an okay experience, but I don't really consider that to be one of "my" stories because I didn't feel that sense of ownership over it.  It's not listed on the My Stories page of my site, but under Hosted Stories instead.
