I finally logged back into my account on the main site just to see what my reviews were like back in the day (i.e. 2010... I feel like I'm so much younger than everyone else. I'm 30 currently, for reference) And I just want to give great thanks and immense apologies to all my favorite writers for putting up with my 15 year old brain's idea of a review... there's so much all caps and pestering authors for updates. It's like the writing equivalent of pestering an actor on if their working or what their next gig is... ugh. (I'm glad that AC taught me the importance of engagement. I remember that there was challenges back in the day to review every story you read in a month or something, I think; but, like, you guys could have said something. Lol.) I'm cringing and and laughing and yet, oddly, nostalgic at being able to view the reviews at all... I'm still in shock that so much time has passed.

And I'm probably one of the oldest on here but my writing isn't mature like Julie or Mare's lol.  We can all cringe at things we've written/done in the past :D

mare:
I've written my fair share of cringe worthy stuff! But I can tell you this, it really doesn't matter what kind of review you left, anything makes a difference to us. I would be happy when all I'd get is a "YAY!" "Good job!" Or "Update!!!" Because at least you took the time to say something which is more than a lot of people do.

RokofAges75:
LOL The stories I wrote when I was 14-15 are still online in all their cringey glory, so I get it.  But Mare is right; most writers would agree that any review is better than nothing!  I appreciate each and every one.  And, honestly, I love the ones with all caps and exclamation points and begging for updates because that shows excitement over something I've written, which is awesome!!  I met one of my best friends in the BSB fandom over 20 years ago when she would send me enthusiastic emails full of exclamation points every time I updated.  I would reply back just as eagerly, which led to an online friendship that eventually transitioned to an offline friendship once we were both adults and able to drive to meet each other. (Turns out, we only live a couple hours away from each other!)  She's still my concert buddy and one of the people I'm going to Vegas with this summer.  All this to say, never apologize for leaving reviews like that.  We loved them then and love them still!

backstreetsbabyg:
Thanks that makes me feel a little better, and a lot less cringe.

Congrats, on being able to go to Vegas! I haven't been able to make it to a tour since In A World Like This. Though judging from crowd footage I saw of the DNA tour the hype may be too much for me right now... I'm planning on watching YouTube coverage. I'm always surprised by what I can find once I take the time to start sifting through search results.

RokofAges75:
Thanks!  Things are definitely different from the In a World Like This era.  I'm glad the Boys have experienced this resurgence in popularity, and it's awesome that they're able to book a residency in a venue like the Sphere.  But I miss the ticket and VIP prices from the IAWLT tour and how much easier it was to get good seats!  That was my favorite BSB era.  But the DNA tour was also great, and I'm sure the Millennium residency will be too.  I'm sure there will be plenty of videos on YouTube.
