I know the last reply has been over a year ago but I'm desperately looking for a topic how to put a banner in the summary! 'Cause I've uploaded my banner on Photobucket, but the summary box doesn't seem to catch the IMG codes! I'm really desperate lol!

Oh, and I hope the banner I made doesn't make my summary too long, lol. (It's 314x376 and it's .jpg)

Or I didn't search well enough for a topic like that or I'm just plain blind.

is that the banner size? 314 x 376? Because if it is, it's too big. Banners should be no bigger than 300 x 300.

You can use the HTML image code:

<center><img src="image url goes here"></center>

For the banner size, the rule is that the dimensions can't add up to more than 600 pixels (so for a square banner, it could be 300 x 300).  So yours is just a little too big.  Just resize it before you post it.

Hope this helps! :)

Oh, yes, that was the size. I will resize it and add it in my summary. :)
Thanks a bunch!  ;D

Photoshop.com is good for resizing.

I've noticed I cant upload banners the are like 400x200. It tells me the banner must be no bigger then 300x300. Am I confused? I thought is could be 600 max. So 300x300 or 400x200 or even 599x1. Am I wrong?

you can upload banners of any size onto the site unless Chaos changed something and i'm unaware of it. (Which would be awesome!) lol

I had this EXACT same problem...last week, I think it was...when I was getting up my VoL banner. It was an odd size but was under 600 total. The site wouldn't let me upload is because one dimension was over the 300. I was going to ask about it but just reduced the size even more, so it would upload.  ???

I haven't had this problem, but I think my banners are usually only like 300 x 150.  If you're having trouble uploading to the site, you could always use a free photo hosting site like Photobucket to store it.

I'd say your best bet is really to go with free hosting like photobucket because you have better control over it (you control the size, you have a backup, etc) but it's also easier on the server.
