Seriously, I don't know why its hated on. It explains SO much and it makes Vader not so black and white. It makes him a tragic hero because in the end he does bring the balance in the force back by killing the Emperor. And I liked how Palpatine implied that the Sith lord that had the power to create life was the one who created Anakin (since his mom said he had no father and that she couldn't explain it.)

Yeah! That was cool. I agree; it made the whole story deeper and improved Vader's character a lot.
