that's tess... I've never heard of her and I think you could vote for the awards but I'm pretty sure that the people who voted hadn't read any of the stories because I posted the links to my AC stories and my read count for Whitmore Lake has barely moved. (I suspect the only person who's read it since it was nominated was whoever judged it for the AC awards. So yeah, I doubt any of those stories even got read.

I haven't either, but looking at her site, she's associated with Felfic, so that explains why she would get so many votes. They're like an army.
That's why voting isn't the best way to decide winners; it's usually just a popularity contest. But judging can be biased, if the judges are buddies with the authors of the stories they're judging. So, alas, no awards are perfect. But some sure try harder to be fair than others.

well they were the Mbsbfc awards and I think they might just be more familiar with their own authors. I was totally an outsider. I didn't even know what the MBSBFC was when I got nominated and the girl that nominated me knew me from here. So, it was probably just that most people had read her stories and not many of the other ones there. *shrug* whatever.
I'm still just crying that I lost. lol. Anybody wanna give me a hug?
