Fanfic Warnings?

<< < (5/7) > >>

I don't really pay much attention to most of the warnings either.  At least not usually.  I don't find slash appealing-and I think that was one of the warnings available from the list-so I might skip a story with that, but not always.  I usually go from the summary.  Sometimes I think the warnings are added on because it's in the story, but it doesn't always make up the story-if that makes sense.  For example, One of the stories I have written (it's not up yet, it's on my list though) will have a sexual assualt/rape warning.  My story doesn't really revolve around this, and I don't go into a lot of detail about it, so it's not really graphic, but it's mentioned/discussed.  Because of this, I feel I should add that warning there.  Does that make sense?

It has no substance or... this story will change titles a thousand times or... lol

In the little world I live in, trapped inside my/our brain... all of the stories on AC have warnings like this instead of the regular kind

Even the most practise can't give you a 12 inch penis lol Soooo I think he still has a lot to live up to when it comes to people who put their expectations into fic form

In real life, where "books" exist, you don't know whether or not the book you picked up is going to have graphic sex, or just the regular kind, or graphic violence or finger jammed in a car door, you basically go off of the summary, and the reputation/writing history of the author.

I have a point here, it's that I think warnings aren't completely necessary. Even if you write slash you would put that it's gay m/m f/f etc in the genre description.
