Title: Best last and first lines of fanfics?

I don't look at banners at all. I look at summaries and if I find that interesting than i'll read the first few sentences of the fic. Do any of you have that fic, where you can actually remember being sucked in by the first sentence or completely blown away by the last one?

I have some I know well.Chaos's story Ground Zero,Brian's Winter,and one titled Selfish.
