Title: The July Challenge
Post by: mare on July 02, 2009, 01:13:28 PM: This one is a little different in that it's not a story challenge but an 'already in progress challenge'

Maybe it's my clever or non-clever way of coming up with something out of the blue? lol

I'm calling this one, The Cameo shot!

Your mission this month is to incorporate a character into your next chapter that you would normally not have in there at all. As a walk on role. Even if it's just a name accompanied by a few sentences explaining this person.

The catch is, it has to be someone from this forum and it can't be someone you have used already. Tanja is fair game as well because she is a stealer and deserves to be mocked! lol

For instance, if you have used someone as a character already in that story, you cannot use that person as the cameo. It has to be someone else.

Once you have succesfully accomplished this, feel free to post the link to the chapter in here. It might also get you more readers!

There are two people from here getting cameos in the next 00Carter episode also, but unfortunately, I don't see that being done to post in July. Tanja has an entire episode coming! That leaves Song for the Undead, so I'll see what I can do!

Only problem is i'm not sure if I have anything in progress at the moment. I was working on a chapter of an older story that had a walk in role, but I guess it would be cheating to now change the name to someone on the board huh? LOL

Yes, I do...I just started the story recently...he's a Homicide Detective, tying to crack the case of a serial killer. What kind of detective is your Howie?

Darby and Kristal are both in there.. and they're in the second half (after the ~~~ thingy) in case you want to skip over the melodrama first bit with Danica and Nick and the morning after dun dun dun lol. This worked out well cause girl talk was a necessity.

I put Maribeth in my chapter. I'm pretty sure she's on the forum, I know she's on AC...if not, then I'll make her ass sign up! It would still count, right? Eh well, I'm writting people into my other story anyways, LOL.

NCIS fandom. The story does have a content warning, although it "fades to black" without getting graphic, it does involve a scene containing sex with a minor and under dubious consent...Abso lutely NOTHING to do with the cameo appearance! The character(s) involved in that scene are not based on anyone here. lol.)
