Title: July Picture Challenge
Post by: mare on July 01, 2008, 09:08:23 AM: We're going to call this one, tell me that i'm dreaming.

I know it's another sleeping boys picture lol but it's cute and it gave me an idea so, here's the challenge.

~ You need to write a very descriptive and vivid story about a dream one of the boys in the picture below is having.

~ You have to stay within 1,500 words.

~ It really can be about anything but at one point Kevin has to pop in but cannnot die! (looks at you Kelly) lol

~ Something inanimate has to talk

~ The word lose must be used properly at least once. (See my avy if you are confused)

~ Someone who doesn't normally have facial hair has to have it in the dream, in passing.

It was a welcomed respite from my sort of block on All Hail the Heart Breaker and the sadness of I can save you nearly being done!

Let me know what you think, it's totally away from what I normally write but I'm quite proud of it considering it's only my 3rd challenge piece.

I normally enjoy writing picture fics, but I couldn't get my creative juices flowing with this challenge, lol. Come to think of it... I can't get my mind right to do either of this month's challenges. :(

I failed miserably with the spelling of lose! Alas I must not be a true backstreet fan I mean seventy per cent of their song titles or songs do have the word lose in them don't they?!

That's why I included it in the challenge. Hopefully it'll help some of you out. Also, be careful of your choose and chose as well. ;) I will not banish you to that land since it no longer exists.

Then again after his recent myspace post I'm highly doubtful he knows what a comma is, let alone how to spell extremely complicated words, knowing him he would have to google the meaning of it to begin with! LOL!

I'm waiting for the back lash now! Just to let you in on a secret Nick is my fave so it's alright to take the mick out of him!

And make sure your first lesson with Nickolas is how to spell the word grammar. :) That's another big mistake.

Commas are my fave, unless they're used as periods or semi-colons. Then I'm like the quote in my siggy.

I mean it's a dream sequence, so of course it's natural to have the person wake up and realize it's only a dream. I just don't want you to not post it just because of that. lol

With mines though, it makes absolutely no sense, which are how dreams are sometimes, and then Nick wakes up to realize that it was all just a dream, only to find himself still in another dream. Have ya'll ever experienced that? You think you woke up from a dream only to find yourself in another dream? Lol, I hate those. But yah, I know I have the whole month to work out the kinks and whatever, but I'm just not feeling it. Plus how we gotta stay within 1,500 words. I thought I'd TRY to follow the rules with the challenge this time, but then again, why should it matter to me right, I always end of breaking the rules anyhow, lol.

At the beginning you did get where and were mixed up. That's another common mistake.

I know for me it has always been shot and shoot. lol not sure what it is about those two words. It's not like I use them all the time but whenever I do I find I have to fix them constantly.

Did I really? lol. That one was, probably, an overlooked typo. I make a TON of those, if I write during the day, because I am either distracted by my daughter or being climbed on. I catch most of them when I re-read but definately not all of them...obvious ly. LMAO.
