Well...I thought I'd hop aboard, too!
Then Again is the sequel to my very first fanfic (Second Chances), so you'd have to get through the horror of the first one to get to the much better sequel. Anyway, I just updated it and it's already been shoved to the bottom of the page LOL so I thought I'd make a thread for it!

Proving Them Wrong is my longest-running story (since August 2006 which LMAO is not long at all considering there are writers that have spent years on one story!). It's also my biggest headache because just when I think I can start moving towards the end...I veer off in another direction. I know what I want from it, but I can't seem to get there. In any case, if anyone wants to read it for me and give me a push, that would be much appreciated as I'd love to finish it before it's been a year!

Monster in the Closet was a Mersey-inspired creation which is actually the only story I've ever written that was fun to write (other than the ones for the challenges!) because it never gave me a headache. Chapters for it flow so easily...it's just a matter of finding the time to write those chapters that's a pain in the butt. And, just as I'd discovered my muse had vanished, Mersey finished Children Like Me (which everyone should read...LMAO at plugging someone else's fic in the middle of my own plugging!) and suddenly I have inspiration! So, thanks Mers!

LOL I'm replying to my own post, but I needed a favor from anyone who does read Proving Them Wrong. So "CALLING ALL PROVING THEM WRONG READERS!"
As I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the ball rolling on the last third of this story, I realized that maybe Nick is not portrayed the way the real Nick should be portrayed. I've always operated under the idea that, once you start writing about a certain BSB-er, he becomes your character and isn't really the same as he is in real life. However, said BSB-er should try to stick to the main characteristic s that he normally has, anyway. With that said, I'm getting a little nervous about the fact that my Nick (mine, all MINE! LOL I'd rather have Brian, but I digress ;D) is not staying true to real-life Nick. So, if you read PTW, could you please let me know if this is true, or if I'm just paranoid? That would be a super great help! Thanks! Oh, and the next chapter should be up soon!

i'm a proving them wrong reader, and i think you're portraying him well, he's got a more mature feel than real life which is a refreshing change, only part that I'm waiting for is Autumn and Nick to fall in love but that's probably never going to happen, but anyway you write it I love it so far. I think everyone is waiting for Autumn and Nick to fall in love but we're all just going to have to keep wishing and waiting on that count LOL It might happen, but I can't just smack it in people's faces right away. After all, they haven't exactly been friends this whole time. But, if you are patient, you may be rewarded :P

I think I should apologize for the 5 stories that show up on the updated page that are all from ME! I can't believe it either, but I found my muse, and he made me write a LOT! Proving Them Wrong, Monster in the Closet, and Once Upon a Time were all updated! YAY! I hope you enjoy!

I finally updated more of Monster in the Closet, my SN/BSB fic! It's almost at the end, and I'm super excited because I'm getting close to the finish of so many of my stories! Whoo-hoo!

Whoo! Monster in the Closet (SN/BSB) is finally finished! I can't believe it took me 5 months to write 10 chapters, but it did! So now, Proving them Wrong should be the sole focus of my life. Probably not, though, since I plan on starting another story soon. *sigh* me and my hyperactive imagination ;)

I can't believe I'm about to do this, but I'm about to post ANOTHER chapter of Proving Them Wrong. I'm astonished at myself for writing two chapters in 24 hours. I may actually finish this story in the month of November LOL So, yay!

Aww, Teri, thank you! I'm glad you're liking it. And, yes, drama is my forte, and I love it oh so much. My biggest fear is that I'm not having Nick or Autumn freak out enough about the kidnapping, but things will soon get rolling...Than ks for sticking by it! I don't think I can manage another chapter this weekend, but there should be more by next weekend *crosses fingers*

Please let it be WHEN. Don't worry, once this story's out of the way, I'll be able to focus on all the others that have been sitting around glaring at me to work on them LOL They've got these mean little looks they send me, and I've been feeling pretty guilty. Okay, people. It's November, which means it's time. *cue dramatic music*
I am very tired of Proving Them Wrong LOL though I know some of you love it. So, because I'm tired of it, I'm going to spend all of November trying to finish it. There's some surprises coming up (ones that surprise me as well, especially when I had a brilliant brainstorm last night LOL), and, though I don't know how the story's gonna end, I know it's going to be finished this month. It's my personal challenge. So, look out for updates!
For all those waiting on updates to any of my other stories, they won't really happen this month since I desperately need to finish PTW. Sowwy. :(

Just updated with chapter 50! I think there's only five chapters left (please let there only be 5 left! LOL). I'm really pulling to finish this story in November, and I hope I do!

LMAO You guys crack me up! It makes me so happy to see how invested both of you are in this story! I didn't think anyone would be that emotionally involved with it because Nick and Autumn kinda fell flat as characters in this one...unless you don't think so.
Anyway, haven't you ever heard Kelly? She and I LOVE our happy endings! Maybe the ending won't be exactly what you want, but it'll still be happy...

Also, I'm having trouble deciding on one very important point in the ending of the story...gosh, I wish I knew which way was best LOL The cliched one or the not-so-cliched one...

If the two of you could tell me, specifics if possible, why you think Autumn and Nick are a good couple? Or not? I feel like I just put these two random people together and expected them to go well together. Clearly, Autumn's rebelling against that, but what are YOUR thoughts?

I think Nick and Autumn are good together because they're friends and they understand each other. Nick changed alot just knowing Autumn and Lily and really became a father and a husband. Autumn is rebelling against it I think because she's afraid of being vulnerable. They only other person aside from Nick that's really seen her as vulnerable is Summer and we all know how THAT's paning out. So I think it's out of fear, she goes for people who are emotionally unavailable to her like Jack and even Liz is somewhat emotionally unavailable as her own friend. So for Autumn to have a friendship with Nick whose so emotionally available and in touch with his emotions that it scares the hell out of her that she could be hurt by Nick so she tries to emotionally keep him at a distance to guard herself.

But, yes, I don't like Nick, I don't want him to be happy, and I think he's a jerk. I LOVE Jack, I think he's fabulous, he's exactly what Autumn needs, and she's going to be SO happy with him...

LOL I should start an I HATE JACK MCCANN facebook group shouldn't I? ROFL but alas I hate him and Summer, respectively they're the two worst people in Autumn's life. And I hope she sees it. I know she does as far as Summer is concerned, but Jack's an ass and for her to defend him to Nick was really baaadd considering she knows Jack has a history of starting fights with Nick but took Jack's side instead. Way to stand by her husband lol.

True but she should at least have the intelligence to see it. She does have feelings for Nick, she's just brushing them off as friendship. If she didn't at least like him to begin with she wouldn't have gotten drunk and slept with him.

OMG Teri and Julilly. I got a TON of writing done for PTW over the weekend while I was at home! Let's just say I only have 2 chapters left and it's barely the middle of November, so whoo! Unfortunately, I won't be posting the BIG one until Wednesday/Thursday, but I can promise it's a whopper. Definitely one of the best in my fanfic writing career, in my opinion, of course ;D

Cuz that's the best thing about a suspense part of the story it's always the person they trust the most that comes back to bite them in the ass.

OMG lol I was just thinking that when I finished UMS. I lost quite a few favorites cuz I guess once people are done reading they delete them cuz there won't be any more updates. Not like I get my udates anyway for my favorites (yet I get my review e-mails so go figure) Anyway yea... It's depressing lol
I'm definitely going to have catch up on PTW now!

See, I never un-favorite anything because I love going back and reading stories that I love! I don't get emails reminding me of new chapters or anything, I just have them as faves so that it's an easy way to find the story LOL
And, Mel, you should definitely get all caught up on PTW now that it's over! You left before all the good stuff finally started LOL
I've gotten requests for a sequel, and I hate saying no, I'm not writing one because I think lightning would strike me dead if I did. Besides, I'm through with Autumn. I need a new character. Hopefully, if all works out Spencer from Someday We'll Know will be a better and older replacement to Autumn LOL I'd best get writing on that one!

I'm not (persnally) a fan of writing sequels. I'm the type of writer where I use my character as much as I possibly can in one story so by the end I'm like bah, I'm done with you! So a sequel would probably turn into a story I could never finish. Though I should try it sometime lol

LOL sequels are fuuunnnn LOL if you hadnt noticed i'm sorta a sequel whore with my series. But I think PTW was ended good where it doesn't NEED a sequel.

thanks Teri and Julilly! I know some people want to see more Autumn and Nick, but, honestly, i think they've run through their story pretty completely. There's not much more that I could have them do, aside from maybe have a baby or something--and that is SO cliche (for me, anyway). I mean, I was going to have Autumn tell him that she was pregnant at the end, but then i changed my mind and I like how it ends.
Besides, I did a sequel once for Second Chances and, while I still think Then Again is one of my best stories, I am having a hard time writing its threequel. Because that's what happens...I do a sequel and then I want to stretch it longer. Which works for you, Teri, but not for me. I agree with Julilly that putting everything about a character into one story is so much easier than dragging it out into two or more. Personally, as a reader, I'm not much for sequels anymore, unless it's really, really good, but no. *shrugs* I guess it's all a matter of personal opinion.

TERI. you never really told me what you thought of the ending LOL When you thought Nick was dying, you had LOTS to say LOL and, now that it's over, I wanna know what you thought...that is, if there was anything that you could say about it (unless you thought it was bad and don't wanna hurt my feelings LOL)

lol OK I loved theending! it was exactly how i hoped it would turn out, and the opals hehe my birthstone can help u find true love (however if it's not ur birthstone it brings u bad luck) which is fitting cuz she did have bad luck with liz and summer!!
