Post by: RokofAges75 on October 02, 2007, 06:00:25 AM: It just counts every hit to every chapter of your story, it seems... if you click on your own story, it will go up. So it's not very accurate in terms of how many readers you actually have, just how many hits your story has accumulated.

And the only way you can make the read count of a story lower is to not click on it. Which you would only be doing if you weren't going to read it in the first place.
