Yes this story finally made it back to the site where the idea was born lol.
This story is written by me, Julie, Dee, Kelly, Nijntje, Purpura, here from AC. Along with Veronica, Gozde, from Julie's forum, and formerly with Erin and DragonStar.

I'm reformatting the story so that each episode is a separate story. No updates, but it'll mess with the most recent list so sorry! lol. Mare gave a suggestion (which I think is a good one) to have each episode be separate and be under the 00Carter "series". So that's what I'm doing. FYI.

hey Rose, what i would do is put them still under the same story but use multiple chapters as the episodes. Or make is a series, so this way when you are reformatting you aren't taking up the whole recent stories list. Does that make sense?

I was turning it into a series like you suggested the other night, cause I thought that was a good idea. But to do that I had to make them separate stories. WHich sucks cause it's taking me a few cause I have to add everyone back on as collaborators each time.
I wish it didn't mess with the most recent list bleh.

I'm not sure how to explain it except that you should do the story the way you have been, but instead of the first episode which you originally posted being chapter one that first episode would be chapters one and two. More like editting what you have so far. Breaking it up into smaller chapters and then renaming them the different episodes. So intead of there only being two episodes like you originally had, now there would be four. Does that make more sense? lol

I'll do it, Rose. Cause I agree with Mare... there's really no difference between having separate chapters and separate stories - each episode is still the same length, and that's the problem. I think it would be better off as one story, with each episode just broken up into, say, four parts.

But Lance is so FAB-u-LOUS!!! LOL Glad you thought it was cute. The first episode is mostly introduction, but after that, it gets into the real action.

LOL that's exactly what we're doing! Except as of now, we're still keeping it all one story so we're not hogging the recent updates. It seems easier to have it all in one place. What do you think is too long for one chapter? The first part of Episode 3 is over 5,000 words... is that too much? Should I have split it into 5 or 6 parts instead of 4?

Yeah, I'm torn... I'm so anal, I want it to be even... but I'm not sure which is better, to be even with number of parts for episode or even with word count per part.

What I started doing was breaking it up so that each character's flashback is in a different part. I combined a few of the shorter parts towards the end so we wouldn't have 500-700 word chapters. I kinda like it separated that way, but it's 11 parts. So if we like it 11 parts, I will want to go back and break the first two episodes up a little more too, so it doesn't look like Remember Me is just insanely long (even though it is LOL). Thoughts?

The many, many parts per episode makes me think maybe we should do what we were going to do in the first place and make them each a separate story in a series... but the thing with that is, the number of stories is really going to add up, and all of those stories are going to be listed under each of our names. While we'd quickly rise to the top of the prolific author list LOL, it seems like it would get kind of cluttered and choke out our other stories. I think I would still rather keep it all in one story, rather than a series.

I was at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago on Sunday, and they have penguins there... supposedly they have some rockhoppers, but I totally didn't see any; they were all just normal looking penguins LOL. But the gift shop had a rockhopper stuffed animal, red eyes and all. I had to buy one!

This means shorter updates, but also more regular updates (yay!). Sunday is going to be our regular update day, so you can expect a new part every Sunday until we run out of parts to post. The rest of Episode 6 is already posted on the 00Carter site, but after this, we'll start posting Episode 7 both places at the same time.

I'll be the first to say this is probably not a story I would think to read if I weren't writing on it, but having read it along with contributing my 1/7 or so, I think it's an entertaining, unique story. Obviously I'm not in a position to say that objectively, though, so I hope you read enough to form your own opinion. :)

I don't know if this will make up for the year and a half without updates, but we are still writing and have two more new episodes started, for anyone who is awaiting updates. As Rose, Julie, and I have mentioned, we've been spending the past couple of months reviving 00Carter and have two new episodes written!
