Fantasy fiction features stories set in fanciful, invented worlds, an alternate and more fanciful version of our own world, or in a legendary, mythic past. Fantasy fiction stories generally involve magic, mystical elements, or supernatural creatures.
Two of the nominees in this category use the imagination as a weapon, the others involve time travel, star ships, vampires, and a castle in a strange abandoned land.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank whoever nominated Ice Cold Blood! For someone who doesn't have English as her native language, this is such a big compliment. I knew I couldn't win from the other nominees because I know they're awesome writers and I can learn so much from them. Even though I have a major break from writing now, I will finish ICB someday!
