Title: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: Rose on July 31, 2011, 11:24:16 PM
So myself, Julie, and others were joking about how we kill Nick in fanfic over on twitter. Suddenly, I got inspired for an epic idea. And I mean epic here people LOL. Start a story where we just write scenarios where we kill Nick! Sort of like the TV show "1000 Ways To Die". :) It can go as random as you'd like, and it's open to anyone to contribute. :). I made sure to set it up as a round robin.

It'll be a fun series of one shots where we kill Nick every way we can think of.

http://absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=10659

Only a few rules....

1. Anyone can add to this, but be sure to title it with whatever # your death is. So if deaths 1-5 are posted, be sure to label yours correctly as #6 for example.

2. Nick MUST die in every scenario. No bringing him back. That defeats the purpose! LOL

3. Be sure to edit before contributing, or you'll drive me, and my fave Grammar Nazi - Julie, insane. :)

Woot!

Also, since you can't respond to reviews unless you're listed as an author...as soon as I see you contribute, I'll add you on as a co-author. This way you can edit if you have to, and respond to reviews. :)

Hey guys, I just want to remind everyone that as long as your name is on this story (meaning you have written a chapter of it) you can only update one other story a day on AC when this one is on the most recent page (same day) so really watch for that since I know some of you who may eventaully contribute to this have more than one going on right now and like to update them both on the same day.

for instance: so far Rose, Julie, Tracy, Steph, Pengi, Karen etc....

Otherwise, have fun killing Nick lol

Just a warning guys, if it's not well edited, I'll delete it. That's a HUGE pet peeve of mine, seeing stories that aren't edited well (if at all). Luckily I haven't had to do so yet, but I wanted to put it out there.

I guess we need to add a disclaimer to the rules of the Round Robin.

Apparently, once you contribute a chapter to this, you are hereby limited to only updating one of your own stories per day for the rest of your life, in case someone else decides to add to the story on the same day you decide to update more than one of your own stories, which would earn you a ban according to the site spamming rule.

I don't think anyone really thought about this when we started it, since a round robin isn't like a typical collab between the same two people, so apologies to those who didn't know what they were getting into... neither did we!

Personally, I'm fine with only updating one story per day, but I know some people have several they like to update regularly, so this might be more of an inconvenience for them.

So consider yourself warned... kill Nick at your own risk! :P

Seriously guys, I had NO idea. I also was told I have to add everyone who contributes as coauthor. If I'd known, I would've come up with a different way to do this. I'm really sorry about that. Cause this never came to mind when this all started LOL.

Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

Yeah, we need to either add it to the actual story, though, for people who don't know this thread is here, or rethink how we want to do this.  'Cause the way it is now is no different than being limited to posting one story a day just for participating in one of the monthly challenges.  I would just hate to see more prolific writers turned off to the idea of trying something fun and different like that.

True, but I didn't think if someone posted one thing, that months later for example (even if they never added anything else to it) they'd still be stuck only updating one story if this one got updated by someone else.

Maybe we could turn this into an open series or something. That way names won't be attached to this forever, just to their one shot...

Cause the coolest thing about this was that people who I didn't expect to see join in, are joining in. And I feel like this would just turn people off of that.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: mare on August 02, 2011, 02:54:32 PM
Yup, same thing. If you write a short story for a challenge and then post two other stories on the same day, that's three stories in one day.

The only tricky thing about a red robin is you have no control over when it updates but if people who were about to update it took a second to see if any of the other authors already updated twice before they posted, there would be no problem. It's an extra step but also a courtesy. I do think it would be a good idea to put that disclaimer on there though. Woudn't hurt, I mean eventually it'll slow down and won't become an issue but right now Nick killing is the new trend of the moment.  LOL

I'm not trying to be difficult but rules are rules, if we make an exception to this I can see people trying to abuse it. Remember it only takes one to ruin it for everyone else.

Yeah, maybe a series would be better.  That would solve the problem of people not being able to edit or respond to their reviews unless we add them as coauthors, and then they wouldn't be bound to the story for life.  I mean, it could take us awhile to get to 1000! LOL

I like it better as one round robin story because it condenses it; it's all in one story and not all these separate one-shots floating around.  But I guess having them all under the same series would still tie them together.

Why don't you take away the red robin part of it and just ask people to email their chapters and then once a week update it with any chapters you get? This way you'd have control over when it's updated, everyone knows the date it will happen so they know that day to only post one chapter? Like okay Tuesdays are kill Nick days so I can only update once!

No what I mean is, like technically, for example, Hannah posted in there yesterday. I got the gist that would be her only contribution, so at the time I told her I'd not list her as a coauthor. And didn't till I learned we had to.

Now if she updated two stories today, and then after that, this one got updated, it'd be a bit unfair to have her get slammed for spamming. Cause she didn't update it, someone else did. And to a story that for arguments sake, she'll never add to again. That's not her spamming, that's someone else contributing. To me, that wasn't the purpose of the spamming rule. And I was a huge advocate of that rule in the first place.

This isn't an issue of courtesy (or lack thereof) among the co-writers.  Twofaced was the last to update the round robin after updating two of her other stories on the same date, albeit hours apart.  She did break the spamming rule, technically.

I feel kind of bad, though, because I added her name as a co-writer like Rose and I have been with everyone else who's contributed so they can edit if they need to and respond to their reviews, but unlike everyone else, I don't have her on Twitter, and she doesn't post here on the forum regularly, so she may not have known I was going to add her or that a round robin counted the same way as a collaboration or individual story.  That part's not spelled out clearly in the rules on the site, so without seeing your post in this thread, I'm sure she didn't even realize she was breaking a rule.

If we keep it a round robin, it'll just have to be everyone's responsibility to only post one of their stories per day, simple as that.  But we may need to look into other options to make it less limiting for people who want to join in.

That defeats the purpose of having the round robin feature on the script, though.  That feature makes it easy for everyone to post on their own and get credit for their work.

Honestly the reason why I don't wanna do emails is cause from my experience, that never gets any responses. It's a bit of a hassle, so people can't be bothered. That's why I thought round robin would be the best way to go. I had no idea this was where it would go LOL.

I am all for the spamming rule, to prevent a single author from taking up most or all of the Most Recent page.

But like you said, with the way this is set-up, someone could get banned without having updated more than two of their own stories, just because of a one-shot they contributed days, weeks, months, years ago.

Like I said, you're essentially agreeing to limit yourself to only one story per day for the rest of your time on AC once you add a part to this story, and while that may be fine with some of us, I could see it being a deterrent for others who would have joined in otherwise.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: mare on August 02, 2011, 03:09:48 PM
It's really no different then co-writing with someone plus having your own stories as well. Before you post up your own update you usually check and make sure your co-authored story hasn't been updated. That was an issue of spamming earlier on as well if you remember. The only difference is you don't know who your co-authors are but if you choose to keep it a red robin, it should be that person's responsibility to take a second and check the site to see who has contributed and if they have updated.

That's why I think you should jut take away the red robin part of it. Be in charge of the chapters. It'll be easier that way. In a disclaimer just have them PM you a chapter or something.

Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

The difference is that, with a collaboration, it's the same people writing the story all the way through.  I absolutely agree that traditional collaborations should count in the no spamming rule.

With a round robin like this, though, someone could contribute once at the beginning and then never again, while others keep the story going for weeks/months/years... but that same someone can never update more than one of their stories per day again without risking being banned because someone decided to add to the round robin.

I think it's unreasonable to expect someone who wants to contribute to go back through every other author that contributed and make sure none of them have already updated two stories that day before they post.  Even if we asked people to do that, you know it wouldn't happen.

Unfortunately, it's taken the fun and simplicity out of the round robin feature and made it unnecessarily complicated.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: mare on August 02, 2011, 03:15:28 PM
okay, why don't we say this...

Since the date the story is updated is posted when you update, if you aren't the author who updated it you aren't spamming.. Red Robins only.

That doesn't save you Karin lol

but that might help everyone else. So if you update two of your stories and then add a chapter onto this or any other red robin, it's spamming.

Again Red Robin's ONLY because then I can see this opening up a whole new can of worms with co-authored stories, but because red robins are out of your control I think this would be fair.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

I honestly don't think it's fair. This is an unusual story and should not have the same consequences tied to it. I've been trying to refresh my memories about the rules and so on since I got the email that my account had been locked, so I've been dealing with this for about an hour or so now. The longer I deal with this, the more upset it gets me, the more I want to delete my death, and the less willing I am to come up with another chapter for it. I had so much fun reading everyones deaths, and writing mine, but now that I know the consequences of this "fun" little story, the less thrilled I am to work on it in the future.

I did not know about this forum area until after I was banned, and in my mind, I had updated my stories last night before I went to sleep, then this one when I woke up, which to me is 2 days.

I'm trying to not get too upset, especially seeing as I am fairly new to the site, definitely new to the story, and just trying to find my way, but yeah, I am upset.

That sounds a lot more reasonable!

And I agree with the round robin vs. collab thing, for the same reason I gave in my last post.  It's a lot easier to keep track of who your co-authors are, what else they're writing, and when they last updated with a regular collaboration.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Cause I agree, collaborations should count in the no-spamming rule since it's the same two people throughout. In this it wouldn't be if it's someone else who updated. Red Robins are just out of your control.

Thank you Mare! :)

This is probably a post for a different thread, but since it relates to the conversation.. .

Maybe there should be a warning for breaking rules before a ban goes into effect.  Break a rule once, and you get a warning.  Break it twice, and THEN you're banned.

I know the rules are right there on the site when you go to post a chapter, but the rules there don't list consequences the way the rules in the thread on this forum do, and the spamming rule does not clearly lay out that if you update more than two stories in a 24-hr period, you will be banned.  It just says "Post an update or two at a time, but please don't post your whole backlog of fics all at once. We look forward to reading them all, but pace yourself!"  Yes, it says one or two, but the way that it's written, with the "please," doesn't exactly set it in stone that you're absolutely not allowed to post three.

Some more clarity, or at least consistency between what's posted here and what's posted there, would be nice.  Those of us who have been coming to the site for years and are regulars on the forum should be totally clear on these rules by now, but those who only post on the site and don't come to the forum may not be, and I think they deserve to be informed and warned of an infraction before being banned and publicly called out for a first offense.

Been there done that. The thing is on the actual site in the news section's very first post, it CLEARLY states that there are rules and consequences to those rules now posted at the forum with a link that goes along with it. We were giving warnings and letting things slide and no one seemed to care which is why for a looong time we kept counting down to when those warnings would stop. It's an obvious thing that when you join a site or a forum they have rules and it's your obligation to take a minute and read them. If you don't it's no one's fault but your own. Whether you've been on the site for ten years or ten minutes.

Just like any other moderated site, you start making exceptions for one you have to do it for everyone.

We will do that.  I don't want anyone else to feel humiliated and regret participating.

Rose, go add it to the rules, will ya? :P

Yes ma'am LOL. I'm trying to word it so it doesn't sound discouraging or confusing.

Ok, so how can I delete all my stories off your site since my account is locked?

I read the rules when I first joined the website what, a year ago? And this was my first offence on a story that you all just now hashed out a back up plan. I hadn't posted on the forums or the site for months, and as soon as I got the email from you, I refreshed my memory on the rules.

I understand one bad apple ruins the whole bunch, but seriously? no wiggle room whatsoever?

I would just rather delete my stories and find someplace else to host them then have to deal with the iron fist for a first offender.

I'm talking about right here, though:
http://absolutechaos.net/stories.php?action=newstory

Those are the rules you see when you go to post a new story or add a chapter.

They are only a bare-bones version of what is posted here on the forum, which is what is being enforced:
http://absolutechaos.net/fictalk/index.php/topic,2168.0.html

Can't you, Ash, or Julilly just revise the rules on the site so that they're the same as what's posted here, which everyone's expected to follow?  By just including the link in a news post, you're giving users three separate places to look for information on the rules.  I can see how that's confusing for new users to the site.  I just think it would simplify things to have the exact same information posted everywhere, so we're all on the same page and no one feels blindsided.

Here's a list of the deaths so far!

Death #1 - cracked his head open on a urinal
Death #2 - crushed by a fallen piano
Death #3 - allergic reaction to anesthesia after being spurred by a platypus
Death #4 - bad reaction to caffeine led to being crushed by the stage platform
Death #5 - hit by a truck
Death #6 - decapitated in an elevator
Death #7 - impaled by a falling chandelier
Death #8 - sliced in half by a sheet of glass
Death #9 - leapt off a balcony while sleepwalking
Death #10 - infected with ebola
Death #11 - shark attack
Death #12 - killed by a llama
Death #13 - impaled by a moose flying through his windshield
Death #14 - impaled by a stake through the eye
Death #15 - fell off a roof while planking
Death #16 - shot in a train robbery
Death #17 - death by Viagra
Death #18 - sliced and diced by a falling tree

Maybe Rose, if she wants to, can post this in her original post of the thread and update as more are added, unless you think it's giving away too many "spoilers" LOL.  I know some people tried to keep it a surprise what the actual death would be at the end.

Wow, Nick's been killed a bunch since I was reading yesterday.  Julie, thanks for posting a death list.  I was able to glance at it and make sure I wasn't going to end up repeating something.  Can't wait to read the newer ones.  This was a cool idea.

Of course, you guys are sort of terrible people for causing me to spend the evening thinking, 'Hm, how should I kill Nick Carter??'  ;)      :D

I love how many people have taken part of this! Especially since it started off as a joke. A few of us on twitter were joking about how Julie and I tend to kill Nick. I im'd her and was all..."dude I should just start a story where in every chapter Nick dies". She loved it, suggested I make it a round robin, and look at how far it's come :)

We can remove you as a co-writer if you don't want to keep getting emails.  At first Mare said we had to add everybody because the story was going to count as an update for all of us no matter who updated it, but now that she's changed her mind about that, it shouldn't matter who is listed as a co-writer.

It just depends if you want the ability to edit your part and respond to your reviews, and also if you want it listed under your stories.

If you do, you're stuck getting the emails, unless you edit your account preferences to take off email alerts.

If you don't, just say the word, and I'll take you off.

I don't mind them; I just delete them all and go check the story to see what's been added and what I need to reply to.  But I don't have my phone set to go off every time I get email, so it's not a constant annoyance.

Yeah, it is cool to see the number of people on this.  It's nice because its so easy to participate.  Just, you know, think of a way to get rid of Mr. Carter and you're all set.  There are some hilarious chapters, too.  At this rate, we'll be to 1,000 in no time. Haha.  Nick's gonna be pretty scared if he comes across this story, though. We'll start seeing him acting extra cautious at concerts. ;)

I participated too and wrote my first death which is also the first time I ever killed a Backstreet Boy LOL
http://absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=10659&chapter=25

Btw can I also be added as a co-author? I see there are big gaps between sentences so I'd like to fix that. :) And I don't mind getting email notices about reviews so that won't be a problem.

Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on August 06, 2011, 09:40:18 AM
It depends how specific a cause of death it was, I guess.  We want 1000 DIFFERENT ways for him to die, but if it's the same general cause of death, but a very different situation/different specifics, that would be okay.  For example, we've had several animal attacks, several impalements, severed limbs or heads, etc., but the specifics of each were totally different.  So while you shouldn't use an elevator or chainsaw to decapitate him, you could probably still decapitate him in a different way down the road.  Just be as creative as you can!

Okay, it was an accident. These things happen, and the lesson is...don't list people as coauthors, or everyone needs to start being REALLY freaking careful.

So are we doing it again, and just sending you deaths? or doing it the same way as before?

I think we got our venting about the initial accident out.  I hope everyone is able to re-create it. :)

why don't you ask anyone who partcipated, if they still have their stories? This way you get an idea of how much was lost? Although I guess I just did that huh? lol

I know Tracy's are gone...guess we'll have to see if anyone other than myself (And Julie who I know saved hers without even having to ask) saved theirs.

Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

Post it and just change the number for what death it was. Also, be sure to title it as "Death #" instead of chapter.

Anyway, luckily I save everything I write, so I'll re-post mine.

I know, I'm sad at the fact we lost Tracy's deaths and our feedback. Call me a dork but I'm re-reviewing every submission lol. I don't care if they're in the same order as before (except for maybe Julie's frozen death by cougar and my suicide for Nick that came directly after lol). I just hope we can recover most of it!

Repost when you can :)
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

I got mine up there. I have a few more that aren't finished to go up. If I hadn't just gotten off work and my brain wasn't a mush, I'd swear there is some way to retrieve it off of a database. It would be even better if we knew there was a nightly back up or recent back up of the database. Then we could just restore the thing.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

I'd love to be able to restore it, hopefully there's a way. But I figured I'd set this up for anyone who wants to submit something new, just in case we can't.

WOW, I went to bed and missed a lot!  I haven't talked to Rose yet, so I don't know the whole story, but I can guess who deleted it and why... I know it couldn't have been intentional; I know they probably only meant to delete their chapter.  Just a lesson to everyone to be careful when you go clicking around and read everything before you click OK!

I have my stuff saved, so I'll go re-post and re-review everyone else's.  Another lesson to everyone - save your work!!  With so many people listed as co-author, something like this COULD happen again (hopefully it wouldn't).  I don't know what the solution to that is.  Personally, I like being able to reply to reviews and edit my parts if I need to, and I don't want to take that privilege away from someone else just because I don't know them enough to trust them...  So I guess we all just need to agree to be really careful.

Ok cool, I'll post in a little bit, I've been having Internet issues off and on, so if my internet is working in a little bit I'll post it, I might add to mine.

I just PMed or used to the site contact feature to email a bunch of people that I knew had contributed to let them know this happened so hopefully they can repost.  I'm sure I missed someone, but hopefully they'll figure it out.  If you already posted about it in this thread, you may not have gotten a PM from me because I knew you already knew (except I think I PMed you, Steph - sorry!).

Thanks to those of you who have already reposted (even rewritten!) or are going to later, and even bigger thanks to those of you who are taking the time to go back and review other people's stuff again (or for the first time).   It's easier to repost the story than get all those reviews back, so this helps.

You are correct in your guess on who did it. Trust me, I'm pissed too, still am...but I can assure you it was a complete accident...it wasn't malicious.  I'm not sticking up for what she did, but it was an accident.

I'm so mad at myself. I ALWAYS save my work..just so happens, I didn't this time. So, when I have the time, I will be re writing all mine. Lesson learned the hard way.

I just have to say, I love walking into work and being asked, "So did you kill Nick last night? How did you do it?"

One girl asked me today how many times I've killed each of the boys, and I counted them out. Her response? "No Brian? Good, it better stay that way, he's the one I like and if you kill him, there will be problems between us!" lol

I think they've grown past the weird "Oh my God, she's talking about killing a backstreet boy!" looks and just come to terms with it...

I would've been furious if it happened twice. That said, I'd say fix your own. If you fix everyone else's, it changes to say you wrote it. (Which is what happens anytime I'm stuck fixing a title).

Someone emailed the mods and asked if we could delete them from the story but i'm not sure who it was because they only gave us their email address but it doesn't match any of the pen names on the story. Just giving you a heads up it may happen again unless it was the person who just did it.  lol

Some people make me wonder. If you're gonna post in a round robin and ask for it to be deleted, why bother in the first place? Makes no sense to me.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on September 24, 2011, 09:27:53 PM
Lame!

Instead of everyone changing their chapter number, could we just replace the ones she deleted with the next two deaths someone contributes?  Like make the next one Death #13 and the next one #35?  That might be confusing at first for people wanting to see the newest chapters, but we could explain it in an author's note or something, and it would solve the numbering problem.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on September 24, 2011, 09:29:51 PM
Also, just FYI, I'm posting this story and Revenge of the Slaughtered on my site now, so if it ever gets deleted again, we'll at least have all the parts backed up.  We would still lose our reviews though, so no one let it happen again!

This is where it's posted: http://www.dreamers-sanctuary.com/killnick.html  I'm a death behind; I'll post the newest one next time I update.

Also, I'm way behind on reading and reviewing these.  Sorry!
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on September 24, 2011, 09:31:40 PM
Another thought - for now, Rose, you could just add a place-holder at Death #13 and #35 saying "This death has been removed by the author" to get the numbering back on track until we can replace those parts.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: mare on September 24, 2011, 09:48:33 PM
I think you should put a disclaimer on both stories and tell people once they contribute, it's there to stay forever. There are too many people writing on one story for someone to just decide to flake out for whatever reason. Everyone knows what they're getting into when they press submit.

Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on September 24, 2011, 10:13:28 PM
Yeah, I agree, cause that is pretty lame to delete something in the middle, mess up our numbering, and make more work for the rest of us.  Maybe we should just stop adding everyone as a co-author and limit it to people who are dependable.  Then we wouldn't have to worry about stuff getting deleted.

The deleting of stories has always annoyed me.  It's not fair to put something out there for readers to enjoy and then take it away.  Lame, lame, lame.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

Not so much, and yes, it affects the numbering if you title the chapters.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter

The same person did that with Revenge of the Slaughtered too. Added placeholders for both so the numbering fits.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: FrickingKaos on September 25, 2011, 01:38:29 AM
Considering who it was, I am not surprised she did that but it wasn't fair to mess up the order like that. Now it makes a mess for everyone else. She shouldn't have even posted if she was gonna just deleted. And yes I know I have deleted a story before, but I wouldn't do that in a round robin where there are set chapters.
Title: Re: 1000 Ways To Kill Nick Carter
Post by: RokofAges75 on September 25, 2011, 10:07:24 AM

For some reason it didn't post my whole review, but I also wanted to tell you that along with loving the Thor line, I loved Kevin's reference to reading fanfic with his "crazy writers" comment.  I'm glad someone updated this story!  I've been wanting to write another one, but don't have a good idea right now.  I may have an idea for ROTS though, so maybe I'll write that next weekend.

Darn you AC! lol

I couldn't help the fanfic reference. If Kevin's read it, I'm afraid of what else he's seen besides Kick slash stories LMAO.

I added a new death, Death #62!  http://absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=10669&chapter=62

I've been trying to get this story written for a whole month, and I'm surprised no one else saw the article I read on CNN back in July, got the same idea, and beat me to it!  It was so perfect for this story!!  Hope you enjoy! ;)

Good times!  Which is more fun, killing Nick or making Nick murder other people?

I think killing Nick LOL. Though having Nick kill others is pretty fun too.

I've killed Nick again. I've actually been working on this one for a while but I took a break cause I felt bad for real life Nick. So here's death #70!! Called "Don't Fear The Reaper"

What a nice surprise to see this story updated today!  I don't know if Tami will think to check here for feedback, but since I'm not sure how else to give it (god, I miss the review feature), I'll have to leave it here.

I loved the new death!  It was so well-written, it was almost sad... almost.  I loved the twist at the end; the last paragraph had me cracking up!  Thanks for making it funny after all.  I thought I was getting soft, feeling sad over one of these! LOL

Hey guys!  This isn't an actual update, but out of quarantine boredom, I've started posting my stories on Archive of Our Own and wanted to include the one-shots I wrote for 1000 Ways to Kill Nick Carter and Revenge of the Slaughtered.  I know a few people from AC also post on AO3, so I started a collection over there for anyone else who wants to post their contributions and have them linked together.

You can find the collections for 1000 Ways and ROTS here:
 https://archiveofourown.org/users/rokofages75/collections

All you have to do is choose Post to Collection and add your story.  If you've already posted your stories on AO3, you can add them to the collection. Click Edit, scroll down to Associations, and look up the appropriate collection next to Post to Collections / Challenges.

I have been backdating all mine to their original post date so that they stay in the right order.  You can figure out those dates by going to Account Info on AC, then Reviews Received. Click on the number of reviews, then use the drop-down menu to find your chapter(s). Scroll down to the first review and use the date from that. You don't have to do this, but it does help keep things organized with the numbering and so on.

I'm hoping posting these on a new archive will spark some interest from other writers outside of AC.  I've left it open for people to add to both stories on AO3.  If anyone does contribute there, I will add their parts to AC so we can keep the count going.  Let's get to 1000! LOL

I was too lazy to backdate lmao. Oops.

LOL That's okay, you don't have to.  I'm just too anal not to, even though I know it's going to hurt how many hits they get.

I approved all your stories and made you co-owner of the collection so you can also approve anyone who adds to it in the future.

Yeah!  If more people start posting their old deaths there or adding new ones, I bet more people will come on board.  I haven't been around there long enough to get an idea of how active it is, but it does seem more active than AC at least.
