The idea came up in the confessional thread that it would fun to get together and watch all of Nick's terrible movies so we could make fun of them together. Obviously, we can't get all of us together in real life (although it would be cool if we could), but we could certainly organize an online viewing, where we all press play on the movie at the same time and then get on here and chat about it as we watch.
I think we should start with The Hollow, and if all goes well, we can do Kill Speed another time. The Hollow is on YouTube, for people who don't have it on DVD or taped off of ABC Family LOL.
When would be a good time to do this? Would this coming weekend work, like Friday or Saturday night? If you want to participate, post some suggestions for times or tell us days/times that DON'T work. I know it might be hard to find a time that works for all of us across the time zones, but we'll do our best to work around everyone's schedules.

I don't have a job or a life lol so I'm fairly flexible. My time zone puts me ahead of eastern time by one hour, for reference :)

I am totally flexible too, since I'm off for the summer, and my sleep schedule is so messed up that I can make myself available at any hour LOL.

If we did it late afternoon/early evening according to North American timezones, that would be late night for the people overseas, which would hopefully work out okay. We can't do it too late, or it'll be early a.m. for them.
I think next weekend would work for me too. I'm free any week day as well, but I wasn't sure if that would work out for people who have to work during the week, especially the overseas folks.

Any night is good for me as I don't usually have much planned. My time is way ahead of yours though, not sure how many hours but maybe 5-6 hours ahead depending on where some of you are.
Yes, shame we can't do a group facetime, even though my iphone doesn't have it, I would've borrowed one of the kids ipods, or I do have skype :)

That's why I was thinking a weekend would work better than a weekday, so a late night time might still work for you, since you wouldn't have to get up early for work in the morning.
Otherwise we could try for early afternoon on a weekday (for those of us in the US/Canada) if there's a day when no one has to work. Seems like a lot of us are off for the summer or not working, so that might work. It would be evening for those of you in Europe, but not too late.

If you're not in one of the time zones I listed, you'll have to figure out what time that would be for you - I just did Greenwich Mean Time, Atlantic, Central, Mountain, and Pacific.
I didn't see an option in the poll that would allow you to select more than one choice, but I made those answer options, so please answer whichever choice best fits your availability. We'll go with what works best for the majority. :)

I'm gonna let voting continue through the weekend and shut down the poll Sunday night. Right now it is a complete tie! If it stays that way, I think we should go for Friday at 3 - that seems like the best compromise between the person who can only do Friday night and the person who can do afternoon either day.

He was so cute in that video. I support the movie-making thing because even if the movies are bad, they're usually awesomely bad, and as long as he's acting in it (which he said he is), we get some extra Nick eye candy, which is never a bad thing. I figured some fans would complain about him asking us for more money after some of us have shelled out way too much already this year on the cruise, concert tickets, VIP packages, plane tickets, fan club subscriptions, the album, merchandise, etc. etc. etc. But I like that the perks start at only $5, which includes a thank you - that makes it easier to feel like you're supporting him without having to spend a lot. I haven't donated yet, but probably will at some point... I think if I wait until next month when my cruise is paid off, I will donate more than if I do it today.

Our money may help with production value and special effects, but I don't think any amount of money can help his acting LOL. That said, I'm glad he's acting in it because that will make it worth watching, even if it's terrible.

Hell, if every person on AC put a dollar into a pot it would be a significant amount of money. That's why these crowd funding things are so effective. I'm sure he could raise a ton of money to round up some seals and feed them to orcas or something and complete the ocean circle of life, too.

What's even sadder is that unless he offered to mention people by name in the tweets he did for that, most people would probably not donate at all. I probably would donate in that case though, when I had the money. Not for a movie, but for something like cancer research.

That's what I thought. He's really smart knowing that his fans would pay anything just for a tweet. That's the reason why I don't think it's a bad thing. Aside hoping that he would use some of this money to get some acting classes. If it's gonna be like "The Pendant", I'm gonna laugh insteand than being scared. LOL

I was looking through them and there's quite a few Hollywood names raising money for movies and short films! I suppose it works doubly because you not only get people helping with the burden of the costs but they also now know about it and will see it because they are involved.
The sad part is, the film makers that don't have any money are less likely to get it competing against bigger names.

Well, if we go by the Instagram video he just posted, looks like Nick will be playing one of the psychos, that apparently swallowed some kind of frog or something! LMAO seriously, that wasn't bad. I don't know if he has the type of face to pull off a crazy guy that lives in the woods, but if he can keep up that gruffy voice, he might be able to pull it off.

I know! The deep voice and vaguely Southern accent worked pretty well! As long as he doesn't go ghetto Nick, he might be able to pull it off. I think he has a better shot of playing a crazy villain better than playing the romantic lead, like we saw in The Pendant LOL.
As I saw someone point out in the comments, though, he will definitely need some serious stage makeup to ugly him up! You're right, he doesn't have the type of face for it - he's too pretty! But makeup and maybe some prosthetics can fix that. Of course, there goes our eye candy... but that's okay; it will still be entertaining to watch.
