To start thinking about this year's summer reading challenge!
~ Do you find reading in a different genre or main character, other then what you're comfortable with, a challenge?
~ Maybe you find it a challenge to commit to reading a story all the way through?
~ Perhaps your challenge is taking the time to leave thoughtful feedback on every chapter as you read or as an author, responding to that feedback.
If you fall into any or all of those categories, this challenge is for you! ;)
Just a few things to keep in mind...
You can submit up to five stories for the challenge but once you submit you have to also agree to read!
Readers who do not write can also participate
Stories have to be at least 10 chapters or more to be submitted.
You can submit short stories but you have to group them together and there has to be at least 5.
You can submit the same stories you have in past challenges but obviously, the reader has to be different.
If you have any questions or suggestions, use this thread.
In May we will start asking for participants and in June the actual challenge will start!
I would love to see a really high participation rate this year! We always have a lot of fun when we do this and new friendships are almost always formed. It's also a great way to get more people to read your stuff, simply by word of mouth!!

I totally plan to do this again this year. I won't be as caught up in crap the way I was last year LOL.

I was hoping this would be an April Fool's challenge, but yay reading challenge!

I would definitely join the reading challenge again... But, I only have one story, and it is not finished yet. (sigh). I think I have to check if I already have 5 short stories. :)

Excellent! I hope we have a lot of people participate this summer! Remember you guys can post older stories as well as new ones. What might be old for someone may be brand new for others. It seems like there are a whole new crop of writers/readers on AC these days. :)

There is! That's always nice to see. I will definitely be posting some old, finished stories along with my new one.

Hmmm I think I have a story or two that I haven't finished and its defiantly not my normal writing per say I will have to think on this a bit!

Just posted part one! Spread the word to everyone on AC that the summer reading challenge is on! Maybe mention it in reviews you leave for people that they might be interested in submitting their story for this challenge. Etc..I want a lot of people participating this year!

I have a question. Will/Can more than one person read the same story??

No, once a story is taken you have to choose something else unless all stories have already been taken
