Title: October challenge
Post by: mare on October 01, 2007, 01:57:49 PM: Okay for October I picked a nice fun challenge. There are five pictures here, your challenge is to have them all mesh into one story. If you can get all five into one story you will win one jar of pickles! Supplied by Chaos ;)

~ The story should be a suspense.

~ The story shouldn't exceed 3,000 words

~ someone has to die in the story but again, it doesn't have to be a BSB.

~ You also need some kind of twist in it somewhere!

Now I just have to find the time... somewhere between reading the featured story which has been on my to-read list for a long time and sticking with my goal of finishing my bogeyman story...

And, if it helps, I have spent the last hour or so working on my next Baylee Chronicles story, and that's not scary or gory at all. It was supposed to get done for whatever month had the sequel challenge. (That's the only challenge I haven't written yet) but I got distracted so I'm going to try and finish it before I get caught up in Mercy again. :D

I tried really hard to make it obvious but you never know if you get what you see in your head out on the paper. And coming up with a "twist" wasn't easy either. I hope the end felt at least a little like that, but I was sure you would all have it figured out who was doing it anyway. *shrug* I get points just for attempting I guess.

... so who's next??? Mare??? It was your idea, where's your's oh faithful leader? Maybe we should give you a deadline. lol. Or Dee??? You said you had an idea... we'd love to see it!

Yet, reality, I have no older sister, just a younger one - haha. It was really weird. I mean, he liked me & all, but my sister was - well, not nice. Apparently I was too young for him, according to her - haha.

And lmao as far as making nick older, do you EVER just follow the rules lady?

Sneak peek:

While wiping tears from his eyes, he got up and turned around. He was shocked by what he saw. His mouth dropped and his body attempted to scream, but failed miserably. His body gave another response, that is throwing up two times in a row. The killer had written a message on the wall and door. And it looked like it was written in blood.

I want it this way.. was what it said. I want it this way..

I walked up to the rusted and dismembered gate, putting my hand on it lightly. What a place to be… The moon shone brightly on the rows of eroded cream bricks of the decaying house. The sand swept up to the door, its patterns almost wave-like and filled with shards of glass and slivers of wood. It was a dismal place. But I was sure that it was the only place he would not find me… even though he was still searching for me, after all this time.
