I figured I should start this.
So...right now I have a few stories in progress.
Not Like We Predicted -- Centered around Nick, AJ and Brian. Basically, it's really over the top dramatic and cheesy. Nick and Brian live in a house with their two girlfriends, and AJ is dating Nick's girlfriend's best friend. Uhh... Brian's girlfriend gets kidnapped, chaos ensues. Aaron is also in this story, he's dating Brian's girlfriend's sister. So yeah, it's a big dramatic soap opera. Currently at chapter 16.
Red Herring -- This is my House crossover. Nick collapses backstage and gets taken to Princeton Plainsboro where House and his numptys have to try and find out what's wrong with him. Currently up to chapter 3.
Inner Core -- Involves all Backstreet Boys, though Howie won't come in until a bit later. It's AU! Kevin is the president of the local anime club and as such has to manage the dramatic lives of the members. Which involves Nick's rocky relationship with one girl, Brian's relationship with an exhibitionist and AJ dating one of the club's regular members. I have a feeling it's going to be fun for me to write, because I deal with (real) stupid anime club drama on a daily basis lol
My Happy Ending -- This is the sequel to "In Pieces". It involves Ashleigh and Nick moving in together a little over a year later. Their relationship is tested a number of times through outside interference, as well as through their own personal issues. It's going to be quite a bit darker than the first story, but I think it'll be good to help develop the characters and the relationship between them.
So yeah, that's what I have in progress right now, yay!

Yea lol I definitely had a total "Lenni" moment on Saka's main character LOL Of course though since I'm not Lenni it was pretty tame. Better than some of the threats my readers gave me in UMS. I actually had a reader threaten to beat Alyssa with an eggbeater or some sort of kitchen utensil for being so frustrating. Should I take that as a compliment? lol

Well, when I was taking acting classes my teacher told us that if people hate the character that you play, it's mean you're doing a good job. So I guess if people hate the main character (or want to slap them, lol) it means you're doing a good job..?
Either way, I'm going to take it as a compliment! :D

I agree Saka... If you hate the character that much then obviously you did something right as a writer to make a reader have such strong feelings. Of course there's a difference between being frustrated with a character because they make poor desicions (like your Ashleigh) or just plain not liking them because they're pretty one dimensional and just come across as bitchy or slutty.

Ugh, I hate moving. It's the biggest pain in the ass ever. I have waaaaaaaaay too much stuff to be moving around! And yet, it has to happen. Where you moving to and why? If you don't mind my prying :D

I hate moving too. I'm moving back home with my parents for a month while my boyfriend sorts out his job situation. He's switching jobs and going on interviews, and it just so happened that our lease is up, so it kind of worked out nicely. Wherever he gets a job is the part of the city we're going to move to.
Moving is a huge pain in the ass. I'm going to keep most of my stuff in the boxes and just wait until the next move. Hopefully it won't be that long until we know which job he gets! :D

Well good luck to your boyfriend. Job searching is nearly just as bad as moving. It's a good idea at keeping most of your stuff in boxes, cause what's the point in unpacking when you just gotta do it all over again? Have fun with the move this upcoming weekend!

So, the last chapter of In Pieces has been posted. 25 chapters in total woot woot! There's still an Epilogue left that I'm still working on but yeah... done. Yikes!

Gah! You only have an epilogue left? Sad day. I love this story, but congrats all the same. It's always very gratifying and bittersweet to finish a story. I can't wait to see what happens in the epilogue... though I have an idea :)

Thanks Dani! I do have a couple of ideas in mind for new stories, but I'd also like to finish up Red Herring before starting anything new. I might turn Left and Leaving into something more than just a one shot, or I may do a sequel to In Pieces. We shall see!

I love the sound of all of those. I should read Red Herring. I remember reading the summary and thinking it was interesting, especially cause it has House stuff in it right? I should definitely get on that, and I'll let you know what I think.
Left and Leaving would be absolutely amazing. You already know my thoughts on that. I adored it!
And a sequel to In Pieces? Course I'd read it!

So.. I got hit with the inspirational bolt of lightning...
New story is called Inner Core. It will end up starring all the boys equally. If you guys like copious amounts of drama, you'll love this. Still not quite sure where I'm going to go with it... I'm still kind of on the fence... but I'll give it a try for now.

So I wrote out an outline and decided I wanted to go through with it. The prologue to "My Happy Ending" (Sequel to In Pieces) has been posted. I feel the need to warn people though, the title is kind of deceiving. Lots of angsty drama lies ahead for Nick and Ashleigh. Also, this won't put a damper on Inner Core at all, I'm really excited about both stories. So yay angsty drama for Ashleigh and Nick, and immature petty drama for Belle, Diane and Chandelle!

Oh, and I decided to make a full story out of Left and Leaving, because so many of my lovely reviewers seemed to want me to expand on it. So yes, go read that! The prologue is up now :D

Cool! I remember reading stories about this not long after it happened, but it'll be interesting to see one written with almost a decade of hindsight. I love the title; it's automatically angsty to me just because of how that song is used in The OC. Love!

I kind of mentioned this in my response to your review - but the song is a lot of where my inspiration came for the story... and then I found out the version used in The OC was a cover, so I went to listen to the original version. Turns out it's not as angsty lol. So thank God for The OC creating the angst feel I need for this story LOL!

I finally finished the Christmas story I have been working on little by little this month. It's done in the same style as Running Up That Hill with the multiple POVs. It's also a total cheese-fest... but it's a Christmas story... so it's ok :)

This isn't really an update (I know, I'm a jerk for getting you excited :P) I just didn't think this warranted a new thread.
I'm going to be removing some of my stories from the site in the next couple of days. Generally I really don't like it when authors nuke their stuff without warning, so that's why I'm letting people know! The ones I am taking down are:

Reason being that some of them are just old and embarassing, they contain things I'd rather not have anyone find or I'm just not planning on continuing them right now.

I got a warning that this topic has not been posted in in 120 days. Sad!!
But that doesn't mean I haven't been writing. I have been working on finishing up Running Up That Hill for a good part of the summer and it's complete now. So I updated it with a new chapter and will continue to update it with new chapters on Wednesdays and Saturdays going forward. Woohoo! lol
