Wow! Congrats! That's a pretty huge accomplishment . Add to the fact that you are one of, if not the only person who still has their own site and regularly updates. Big kudos to you!
I guess my biggest accomplishment is just that I'm writing again. I honestly didn't think it would ever happen because my hands are always numb and sitting at the computer hurts, but I figured if I write only a little each day, I can do it and so far, I have been able to. I'm not totally my old fanfic self, but hopefully the more I write the better I'll get at it. Writing suspense is helping.
Thank you!
You should absolutely celebrate the fact that you are writing again! After such a long hiatus, I can only imagine how hard it was to get back on the horse again. It makes me smile whenever I get an email saying you've updated.
Physical discomfort is definitely a barrier to writing for me, so it's even more impressive considering what you said about your hands and it hurting to sit at the computer.
I don't know what your writing setup is like these days or what would work best for you, but after swearing off laptops because of their tendency to randomly die, I'm team Chromebook! I got one five years ago after we started using them at school, and except for a sticky L key that causes me some minor annoyance, mine is still going strong. I like that it's light and portable like a laptop but much less expensive - and since everything syncs to Google Drive, there's no risk of losing files if and when it eventually dies on me.
I do most of my writing on my Chromebook these days and move around to wherever is most comfortable. My weekend/day-off morning writing sessions always start in bed because it's the most comfortable, and I'm likely to keep at it longer when I'm comfortable. I sometimes still write on my desktop computer but usually only when I'm already having a good writing day and just need a change of scenery. I tend to get more distracted there, and it does get uncomfortable sitting at a desk after a while.
