I don't know what to write....

I have two idas that are a lot alike.Should I write one or both?

I say start with the one you have the most inspiration on or the most thought out on...if that makes sense...

It probably depends on what's alike about them. And if they're so alike, they could probably be made into one story.

It often helps if you post your ideas here so we can see what you're thinking. :)

Yeah, I agree with what's already been said - see if you can combine the ideas into one story, since they're similar.  If not, choose one to write first.  After you've written one, you might not even feel the urge to write the other.

Idea #1- Nick writes a fan fic just for fun and everything he writes starts to come true.

Idea#2-One of the guys finds a old camera and the pictures that come out tells what will happen.Like someone getting hurt.


They may not sound the same by that but I plan to use the same type of things.Say like a car crash....the camera takes a photo of a 'new' car only its a wreck and Nick would write about Brian in a car crash.....Can you see the prob?I just don't know how I want to do it.

Both sound like good ideas. I have never seen the second one in fanfic form I believe.

Just carefully think it out before you post. That's what I would do. Write a few chapters and then figure it out from there. Maybe you can write one chapter for both stories and see which one hs the most promise?

Yeah, I see how they're similar but not something you could probably make into one fic.  If it helps at all, your second idea already exists as a Goosebumps book called "Say Cheese and Die" LOL.  The first one has been done too... I'm thinking of that movie with Will Ferrell that came out a few years ago; I can't remember the name now, but I know Mare will know what I'm talking about.

Stranger Than Fiction :) Loved that movie. They ripped off  5 BSBs in Search of a Plot lmao.

Well I got both ideas from goosebumps and a tv show lol.If the first has been done here I wouldn't want to take anyone's story.lol

Well, there's a lot of ideas that come from an inspiration based on something else. When it comes down to it, an idea is only original when you put a twist on it.

Although, yeah, I feel like the writing a fan fic thing has been done a lot... Though I don't know if Nick writing a fan fic would really make it fan fic? lol
