I got this from Addicted To Backstreet.Bas ically you'll put your iPod, playlist etc on random and type out a lyric for each of the first five songs that come up. And we'll all try to guess what they are!

1) Gotta meet the plane so I can get my monkey; teach him to be cool, but a little bit funky.

2) I could made a salutation, sounding heartbeats. Intimidations.

3) When she breaks, she rains down on me and I can't catch my breath.

4) Secrets stolen from deep inside, the drum beat's out of time.

5) No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white.

Okay, so I have a lot of obscure stuff on my ipod. These are the first 5 that I figured there was a chance someone would recognize (i.e. not songs written by my high school buddy or played by an obscure (in the US) Canadian band that hasn't been together since the 90s.)

For a bonus though (and I know at least a couple people will probably recognize it, I figured it was probably still too obscure to be fair...lol) this should have been among the first 5: Though I'm proud to call you chocolate bear, the crowd will always talk and stare.

Is number 5 from the Scrubs musical? It has to be.

ROCK ON for #1 I love the Butthole Surfers! It's Dracula From Houston & # 4 is totally Cindi Lauper Time After Time!   The rest, I have no clue.

Ok, I looked up the others, and I must say, I love your taste ash! Two of them were also in my itunes collection, I just didn't recognize them from the lyric posted.

Is number 5 from the Scrubs musical? It has to be.

ROCK ON for #1 I love the Butthole Surfers! It's Dracula From Houston & # 4 is totally Cindi Lauper Time After Time!   The rest, I have no clue.

Yes, bonus/#6 was from the Scrubs Musical ("Guy Love").  (I *love* Dracula From Houston--it is in my "Most Played" playlist.

And #4 was actually a different version of Time After Time but Cindi's awesome too (and originated the song). The version on my Ipod though is Brooke (his version is great!)
#2 was Alien Ant Farm's version of Smooth Criminal, #3 Undertow from Bowling For Soup, and #5 I Will Follow You Into the Dark from Death Cab for Cutie).
Okay honey's...

1. Im gonna learn ya my philosophy. You wanna know about atrocity, atrocity?

Stone Temple Pilots "Sex Type Things" (or the Evanescence version perhaps)

2. I can show you how it feels to be inside of you.

Incubus "Stellar"

3. So bottle up old love, and throw it out to sea.

All American Rejects! My Paper Heart (I think)

4. Now you could study Shakespeare and be quite elite.

I can't believe I recognized this one, but I think it's Make 'em Laugh from Singing in the Rain?

5. Fresh like a box of Krispy Kremes.

Don't know which song, but I'm pretty sure it's the Beastie Boys. LOL.

(I think we must have fairly similar taste in music. LOL.)

And Fracktrain's

1) Blow Your Mind (Nick C)
2)
3) I Will Do Anything For Love (Meatloaf or...possibly Sarah Geronimo's version?)
4) God Bless the USA (Lee Greenwood)
5)

Similar taste in music... similar taste in TV... We must both just be awesome! And duuuude! I'm impressed that you recognized them all! And yes, very similar taste in music apparently. Alien Ant Farm and Death Cab are also in my itunes. I'm not as familiar as Bowling For Soup, but I like them. I remember them form I think the late 90's? I had a couple friends who were big into them. My favorite obscure Canadian band? Our Lady Peace!

And LMAO I can't believe you got Make Me laugh! I thought for sure that would stump people when it came up. I love Singing In The Rain! Lol me and my soundtracks.

Oh! And the Beastie Boys song was Three MC's and One DJ.

I love OLP, too. (But my obscure Canadian band is, I think, even more obscure. LOL. Moxy Fruvous. They're kind of an alternative folk rock humor group. lol. I only met a handful of people in the states who knew who they were before I introduced them. But they were a fun band (and pretty nice guys).)

Well while I don't have Singing in the Rain on my Ipod, I have numerous other musicals on mine.

And hey, of course we're awesome. Pisces rule.  8-)

Yep. You win. I've not heard of them. Any of our resident Canuks ever heard of them? OLP isn't too obscure, I know Clumsy hit the radio here at one point. (At least it did in Detroit.)

Also... power to the fish people! 8-)

So ash, what is your favorite musical then?
