The August Challenge
« on: August 01, 2009, 07:21:58 AM »

Or as I like to call it: A simple plan  ;D

Create a story with just two characters only and put them in one of the following settings.

1. In a room playing a game

2. In a car stuck in traffic

3. In an interrogation room

4. At a restaurant

5. Sitting in a movie theater and waiting for the movie to being

6. At a sleepover

Here's the catch (hehe)

One of the characters has to be you!
The other character has to be from one of your stories
The relationship between the characters has to be platonic. (No love interest between the two of you)
No banners!
For this one i'm making a minimum word count. You need at least 1,500 words, but do not exceed 3,000.

This is all about keeping things simple and more of a character study based on Julie's thread in the debate board. :)

This one should be a lot of fun. I'm excited to see what you all come up with!

Enjoy!!

and don't feel so bad, i think everyone's still hyped up at the Felix Awards thread, which is way better than the Oscars, seriously. I was very entertained!  ;D

And I'm hoping to write this challenge.

This sounds like an interesting challenge... I may have to try it! Not having a working computer at home really blows, though.  :'(

LMAO!!!!  :-*

i have a very legit question, so really, im not spamming this thread...much. This challenge...mu st the fic be me as an author and talking to our character or do i write a whole new fic with that character and myself in it? And when i said myself, do i get to be myself or do i get to fictionalize me? i wrote 3 pages worth before i realized i might have totally misinterpreted the challenge.

i should say im sorry if this is confusing you, mare, but im not going to, because you're a genius and therefore, rule of the universe says you are confuse-free.

You should write you as you, but you don't have to be a fanfic author. For instance, if you do the interrogation room you can be a lawyer but it should still be you.

Yay for you writing to your 3rd page. Watch your word count! lol

holy typos! I am really getting bad with those again. Mareish is resurfacing.
