Kevin: Every year we like to honor not only those authors we've known and loved for years but also those that are new to our fandom.

Nick: Or at least who haven't been nominated for a "Best Author" Award yet.

Brian: Given, it's only our second year doing this, but still.

Howie: This is for the new authors to AC, with a special thanks to ALL of them for sharing their stories with us.

AJ: We also hope that this category will help inspire some other "new" authors to share with us.
