new here
« on: February 25, 2011, 01:26:31 AM »

Hi all, I'm new here on the forums. I'm really more of a lurker, not much of a talker.. but I figured it would be rude not to say hi. :)

My name is Melissa. I'm from Atlanta, GA. My favorite BSB is Brian and I've been a fan of them for.. ever. Ever since the INBYH video came out, whenever that was.

I joined the forums so that I can lurk and try to pick up some tips on how to be a better writer. I know that I have a lot of work to do in that area. Around the Millennium era, I wrote an awful fan fiction about Brian's long lost sister (who, shockingly enough, was a lot like me). I haven't really written since then.. I've started a whole bunch of stories but never got past the first chapter or two. I hope that by posting a story that I'm working on, I can get past that.

Anyway.. I guess that's all. Take care!

Welcome Melissa! :)

LOL at your first fanfic... they were all like that back then.  Good times! :)

This is a good place to be to keep you inspired to get further on your new fanfics.  I find it easiest if I just stick to one story, rather than jumping around between a bunch, and focus on finishing that before moving on to something else.

Thanks all :)

And thanks RokOfAges.. that is what I am going to try to do this time. I hope that it works for me as well. No matter how much I get distracted by something shinier, I'm going to stick to the one story. And hehe, yea, I seem to recall my story was hosted on a site with some very similar stories.. I think fan fiction has improved a lot over the years. :D
