The last few months had been extremely chaotic. Our 13-year-old brother Zac had been having headaches and was vomiting almost every night. Up until now we had thought it was all due to stress. We never realized we could be so wrong. The day started off like any other for us Hanson boys.

We walked into the venue to find our instruments already set up. Zac ran down the aisle, leapt on stage and settled behind his drum kit. He cracked his knuckles one by one, making Isaac cringe, and rubbed his hands together and then pulled his sticks out of his sweatshirt pocket. This was our homecoming concert to end the tour. It felt great knowing we would be sleeping in our own beds that tonight. Touring was incredible but we were all homesick. Isaac broke his gaze on Zac and turned toward me.
"You wanna come with me to get lunch, Tay?" Isaac asked me, just as my stomach let out a low growl. I looked down at it and he said, "I'll take that as a 'yes'." I nodded, grinning up at him. He cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, "Hey!" Zac stopped playing abruptly and looked at our eldest brother. "We're gonna grab some food! We'll be right back!"
"Okay, get me a burger!" Zac was twirling his drumsticks in his fingers as he yelled back to us.
"Will do!" Their voices echoed across the empty stadium. When we returned almost an hour later, there was no sign of the young drummer. At first I thought he must have been in the bathroom, he did pee a lot. But, as we approached the stage I noticed one of his untied Nikes sticking out from behind his drum set. I dropped the paper bag containing my cheeseburger and jumped on stage, crawling to the side of the unconscious boy. I grasped his shoulders and shook him gently. I began to panic. I could he Isaac's hot breathe on my neck.
"Zac!" I slapped his cheek a few times. "Zachary!" I him again this time much harder. Still, he didn't respond. I was struggling to breathe. "Call 911!" I jerked back toward Isaac, "Now!" He sprinted from the auditorium. I looked at Zac, scanning him for a sign of injury anything to explain why he now lay limp on the floor. My eyes begun to well up with tears. I started to scream, "Zachary! Wake up, god damn it! Wake up!" Still nothing. Isaac pulled me up from behind.
"They said not to touch him." He informed me. I hadn’t noticed I was crying.
When the paramedics finally arrived we were quickly pushed aside. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. They were talking to us but my ears were roaring loud I couldn’t even hear them. My vision was fuzzy and I had to grab Isaac’s arm to steady myself. They lifted his noodle-like body onto a stretcher, strapping him down, and slid an oxygen mask over his head causing his ponytail to fall. Soon they were out of sight and there Isaac and I stood in shock.
“Come on!” he broke the silence. We ran full speed venue and across the parking lot. I whipped open the passenger side door and jumped in.
