I love the blend of humor and suspense in this. Even as you have Nick running for his life, you still manage to make me laugh lol. :)

Mean cliffy Mare!! But I loved that chapter. I still don't know whether to trust Nickolas and after that stunt he just pulled, I know why I don't fully trust him.
I loved how Howie helped Nick, even in the face of danger he wasn't going to let his friend fall behind. And Brian, I can just imagine him running after the train :(
Can't wait for next week's chapter!

Holy shit!!! What a cliffie! I love how you always manage to make me laugh even when the chap is full of suspense and action. The part about pig latin seriously made me LOL. And then, the smell of exploded ass made me LOL. I love to reference the smell of ass just because it's too funny! Those are things that I can imagine Nick saying or thinking. Great job and can't wait to read the next chap.

OMG!!! I knew they shouldn't have gone with Nickolas! Wow, this chapter was scary, made scarier by the fact that they're running around at night in the middle of a blizzard. Good use of atmosphere. I love the humor you put into Nick's narration, even in intense chapters like this; it lightens it up a little, like when Howie fell on his ass and Nick made the comment about it bringing out second languages and Pig Latin LOL. And the smell of urine in the subway - that line cracked me up. Eww LOL. But the end shocked me, wow!! Evil, evil cliffhanger once again! Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Sadly, I drew from personal experience when it came to describing the wonderful smells of the NYC subway system. lol Thanks for the compliment about using the atmosphere. OH MY GOD. Nick's head must be swimming. Max isn't his uncle and wants him dead? They are taking a big risk following Nickolas. Then again, Nuck's instinct is usually right. Hope it works out but with you I know it won't be easy for them! Great chapter, had to love bad ass AJ.

Wow, this suspense is killing me. I'm going back and forth about who we should believe. Can't wait to see if they made the right decision or not. And loved the part with AJ and the gun. I can picture a young, scrawny AJ looking goofy. And then I picture him in his NG days (a la Incomplete) with a gun and it's kind of sexy...anyway, I digress. LOL.
