OMG mare!! I love how assertive Nick is in this chapter. Angry Nick is always fun. Love how Howie referred to Kevin as "misplaced" and hit the guy with the bible LOL. Nick was so stupid running off like that, I wonder even more now if kevin is ok and what will happen to nicky. As always, I can't get enough...I want MORE

Is it bad that I was actually kind of relieved that Nick was grabbed, cause it made me think maybe the dumpster was just a trap and isn't really holding Kevin's dead body? LOL I can't imagine you would kill Kevin anyway... I know it's the trend, but you don't follow the trends, and you love Kevin too much... right? I'm glad you're still able to update this once a week; I can't wait for the next chapter!!

I know killing Kevin is a trend remember I have been having arguments with my characters all througout this story. LOL at the muffin distraction technique! Very cute. I also liked the part where Nick asks Howie if he's ever shot a gun, I could just picture the look on Howie's face haha. I hope Kevin is okay...kinda starting to doubt that he is though. Great chapter Mare :)

AHHHHH!!!! OMG, I hate you for that cliffhanger! WHAT'S IN THE CLOSET?! Kevin!!!! Double cliffies are no fun! The second half of this chapter was way intense, especially when Nick was trying to find a place to hide when they were coming. The first half cracked me up, though, especially with the muffin distraction technique and Howie going "Do I look like someone who has ever shot a gun?" LOL. It was an awesome chapter; I just hate you (and love you) for ending it that way!
Author's Response: I was in my bed when that Howie line came to me and I cracked up. I wonder if he ever has shot any kind of gun before. And that muffin part was very random for me. OMG. You always leave each chap with a cliffie! You're killing me, Mare! Love the part where he mentions Howie putting the hand over his eyes and how he never understood that. You write Nick's POV very well...I can totally see him saying something like that. Also love the part where Howie mentions that Kev probably went upstairs to go to sleep. *pets Howie for being in denial*

Why couldn't they have just opened the door in this chapter? Why'd you have to go and make it a cliffhanger? Also, sometimes, I wonder if Nick's opinions about some things are really MARE's opinions lol Like the whole putting your hand above your eyes to look for something...is that a Mare-ism? :P

I had no idea this was being updated! Damn, I was sitting here thinking what the heck happened to Mare and then Rose wrote a note about one of her stories being updated frequently, but not showing up on the Most Recent page. So I checked your page to see if it was happening to you too, and low and behold, it was.
Man, it makes me wonder how many other stories I love to read are being updated and I don't know about it. That really sucks that the site is doing that. Anyway, I love where this is going and that Jane is still alive, I have a theory about her, but I'm not going to say anything. I was so sure something was going to happen in the hotel, even up in the hallway when they were leaving, but now...hmm. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks Mare!
