Hahaha at the ending. That was nice of Baylee to come see Kayleigh. Interesting that she'll be going to high school full-time. Can't wait to read how that goes.
Author's Response: Baylee cares....unlike the Mrs. I have a feeling Leighanne just couldn't mentally handle taking on homeschooling again...plus it really hadn't been working out that well.

I totally like the way Kay's mind works with Baylee and Marci !!!!! (you know I hate Claw-dia!!!)
i hope thing go good at school, and I can't wait for her to see Noah!!!
Author's Response: Kay has amazing random ideas sometimes. :) Aw, I miss Noah too but it hasn't really been THAT long in story time.

*prays silently* Please get eaten by a lion please get eaten by a lion! *looks around and blushes* sorry, I love Marcie! I also hope that Kay realizes she has more potential at school work then she realizes. Keep up the good work Jen!
Author's Response: She does have more potential...I enjoyed writing Marcie's pep talk even though Kay didn't believe half of it. :) haha at your lion prayer

I'm so glad to see that Kay is opening to talk and that Leigh and Bri are listening!
“My chest tightened. I should have felt happy that my parents focus was on me and my well-being. Instead, I felt like I had just caged myself in. I sat down on the bed and stared down at my arms. I forced myself to breathe.
It was like mom had waved a magic wand and erased the girl that had been living in this room for the past year.
And now the girl sitting in the room had no idea who she was.”
--Well, I`m glad that Kay`s starting to realize things, of course after all those news Leigh and Brian would clean her room. She never knew who she was, she will do.
“At that moment, I couldn't help but think that her parents must have gone nuts when she was really little. I imagined that every word out of her mouth was 'Why.'”
---hahaha my brother IS STILL like this…
“At the same time, I appreciated that she was a third party. I knew that we couldn't figure this all out on our own. In a way, she was kind of like an angel. An angel for crazy people.
Maybe she could help this fallen angel get her wings back.
Maybe.”
---Awww she will!!
Author's Response: LoL I love that Kay called (or should I say, that I MADE Kay call) Marcie an angel for crazy people. :)

Oh I like her shrink. Hey maybe Claudia gets eaten by cannibals or some wild animal. As long as the poor animal doesn't get sick. And I bet it really would help Kay recover. It would make the story way more interesting. Keep up the excellent work.
Marguerite
Author's Response: I figured you would enjoy Kay's thoughts about wild animals getting rid of Claudia for her. :) lmao @ the animal getting sick!

She got a long away to go and she just needs to open her heart to everyone that cares for her. I can only think how Brian n Leigh feel about it all they must feel really bad about also Baylee must feel it too :(
Author's Response: Funny you should mention Baylee...I was thinking about him while I was writing the next chapter :)

It's good her room is clean otherwise it will remind her of all those bad things even more while she should learn to live with her past. I'm glad she starts to open up to Bri and Leigh. Kay will be alright. :)
Author's Response: I think Bri and Leigh MEANT well...but Kay's still fragile. I think it upset her more than they realized. But she's heading towards alright, and that's a start!

I love the dream she has. Could it be foreshadowing something to come?
Author's Response: haha ...I dunno :)

I'm not surprised to read that Brian and Leighanne cleaned Kay's room. I can understand that she feels caged in there after they discovered everything.
God, that's gotta be crazy scary letting your parents know the full story of what happened and having no way to avoid it. But Kay soldiered through and told them and I can't help but wonder what Marcie told Brian and Leighanne. I'm trying to deal with my own scars from childhood and I know that I don't have the courage to tell them how I've felt from the mistakes they've made right now...but maybe someday.
Anyway, thanks for another chapter.

"Kay, I am so sorry you felt that way," dad finally said.. That's not a real apology, Brian. He's not saying what he did was wrong, it's like he kind of blame it on her for having those feelings.. Not good enough Bri! That's what I get for having a bit of communication in my degree..! =p Loved the chapter, so nice to see that she is getting the help both her and the family needs..!
Author's Response: I'm a communications minor. Trust me, that's far from acceptable. And I almost said exactly what you said at the end (because I didn't read far enough into your comment at first). She's not the only one that needs help - her parents (and brother!) need to learn how to communicate better with her as well.

"Do you know how many times I asked for something and the answer was no?" I shot back. "Or I'm too busy?" It felt better to have angry tears rather than sad tears. "For the last year, it's been 'wedding this,' 'wedding that' or Baylee's tour or some other insignificant thing that to you was life or death."
I'm so glad she was able to get this out in the open and tell them how she really felt. Hopefully that's a start! Great Chapter Jen!
Author's Response: It was welling up inside her for WAY too long...breaking those walls, letting people in...it's a start.

I can see her parents trying to help her but in some ways going through her room without her was like a slap in the face. And her mom trying to tell her no more alcohol or skimpy clothes? Yeah it's a little too late to play the concerned mom Leighann. I'm glad Kay has Marcie. She seems to be helping already. Keep up the excellent work.

Author's Response: I agree with you - they handled it wrong. It woudl have been much better to go through her room with her and talk about the choices she made. Now Kay feels a little like a stranger in her own room. Ms. Marcie is going to have to talk to Mr. Bri and Mrs. LeighLeigh...
