You don't have idea about how much I love those FrickNFrack's chaps! I loved especially the part when Brian said that being a Backstreet Boys isn't only being in a band but it's being a family. And I think that this is the reason why he felt so betrayed by them during that period.
You're doing a great work. :)

Aww, I loved this chapter! Brian's conversation with Leighanne at the beginning was cute, especially when he almost dropped the M-word! Too funny. I loved his one with Nick even better, especially the part about the Backstreet Boys being like a family and them being like brothers... aww!!! Love the bromance! The tension was still there, still building, but it was a nice little break from all the drama too. :)
Author's Response: It was kinda fun writing Brian's panic after he almost said the M-word, LOL. I was hoping people would catch how close that came and know what the "ma---" was supposed to be without me outright saying it.

Damn it Johnny. Ugh. It is nice of Brian to still make time for Leighanne, shows he really cares about her. I also liked that Leighanne is trying to make friends with Nick...but he's being the typical teenager and not accepting her. To him she is Yoko. I loved the bit about New York and the blades of grass analogy. Nick is very wise when someone actually listens. Loved the chapter :)
Author's Response: I really love that you made the Yoko Ono reference. I have a Yoko reference in my notes for a future chatper! And yeah he is pretty wise when he applies himself! That's one of the beautiful things about him. lol

Wow, Nick got busted!! I'm surprised, although of course they'd be able to catch him on the security tape. Yet another straw on the camel's back with the whole inflexible schedule issue. Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: I had a feeling people were going to be surprised that Nick actually gets caught for the fire alarm. I had a couple people tweet me in surprise, too. Everyone thought he was gonna get off the hook. lol I'm kinda pleased it surprised everyone! LOL Thanks for the review!!

Brian's totally pissed, I can see some anger and resentment building up in him. I shook my head at AJ saying he raised Nick right...god damn AJ. I hate Kevin in this chapter, he's as bad as the managers.
Author's Response: You know you love AJ.. LOL ;) And I think Kevin's just falling into step in that over responsible way. Don't forget Kevin doesn't know the whole stories! ;)

Ok, I shouldn't be reviewing when I'm dead tired because I end up erasing all that I've written because I miss the part when you said how they find out that it was Nick the one pulling the fire alarm. lol
The only thing I can say is... when the guys will open their eyes? Question that goes along with "When Will Brian tell what he knows and suspects?" Either way, I'm glad to see Frick and Frack sticking together.
I hope to wake up with another update, lol!
Author's Response: haha It's okay! I'm glad that you found the part where Nick pulled the alarm. I've had several people be shocked that he got caught. There should be another update when you check back... I'm working on it! :)

Oh, this chap it's just so sweet. From the jokes between Kevin and Brian about "The Lord Of The Ring" to the last part with Nick getting jelous and pulled the fire alarm. And the positions Kevin found them when he got inside the room... LOL
I've the vibe that this is the calm before the storm. Something is going to happen and I do hope it's a little bit of drama. LOL
Author's Response: Drama is always fun. ;)

LMAO I loved this chapter! Brian's date with Leighanne was sweet, and I'm glad he confided in her, but the end with the whole Nick-pulling-the-fire-alarm thing was hilarious! And Kevin coming in and finding Nick on the floor in front of Brian with the sock on the floor... priceless! LMAO Loved it!
Author's Response: LOL I was a little nervous having Nick be the one who pulled the alarm and the scene with the confession to Brian. In fact, I almost cut it out but then it was like no that's just too funny of a visual LOL. Thanks so much for the reviews!!!!

Aww... I felt bad for Brian's parents in this chapter, that they didn't have more time with him. I'm glad the Boys made up, and I'm glad Nick confided in Brian. I'm anxious for Leighanne's reaction when Brian confides in her. I wonder if he'll find the canary diamond ring in the next chapter.

Ouch! Lots of drama in this chapter! First the fight with Lou, then the fight with AJ, then the fight with Nick... poor Brian. I'm glad Nick ratted him out at the end, though, maybe that will help get the ball rolling. I enjoyed the description of Nick asleep in his bowl of cereal; that made for some great comic relief!
Author's Response: That chapter was one intense fight after another, which the comic relief is exactly why I put Nick asleep in the cereal bowl. Can't you just picture the purple fruit loop spinning around as he breathes? Haha!!

Aww, I felt so bad for Brian when Nick was avoiding him, and then when he couldn't tell Kevin the whole truth about Lou and his heart and everything that's been going on. I liked the scene of Brian going over to Leighanne's parents'; that was cute. I bet he's gonna be late getting back and get in more trouble with Lou!
Author's Response: Since I originally wrote the chapter, I found Leighanne's stepfather's last name and I'm kinda debating going back and editing one of the "sirs" Brian says to Mr. Tolbert because it seems more like something Brian would address him as. The funny thing was I researched Leighanne's parents names and I only just barely found Jack and Shirley on SimplyLeighanne.net, but I couldn't find the last name in all the research I'd done. Then I went to research the engagement ring a bit more and happened on an article about the wedding which very off-handedly mentions that their last name is Tolbert. lol I was like FAIL where was that two chapters ago!?? haha

Playing catch up here! The revelation at the end of this chapter was crazy. Minimum wage! I can't believe Brian's the only one who's realized there's something wrong with that, after much success they've already had in other countries. I love how you built up Brian's anticipation/dread of asking Lou for the time off and how he felt when Lou told him to wait. I also love that he started noticing more of Nick's behavior around Lou. I wonder how long it will take for that to come out. Judging by your tweets, not long, I'm thinking. ;) Reading on!
Author's Response: I actually did the math out and if the figure of them having made $300,000 between the five of them over two years was true (which I found in an article about the lawsuit with Lou), then that's a legitimate figure at the end. The minimum wage in January of 1998 was $5.15. It went up in February. Intense, huh? I got repissed off at Lou all over again after I wrote that chapter!

LMAO this chapter. Kevin and the Lord Of The Rings references. I knew it was Nick who pulled the fire alarm as soon as it happened, it seems like something he would do. I also laughed hard at "I'm too sexy for jail" and how he kept saying he was gonna lose his best friend.
On a serious note, I'm really happy Brian told her about his heart problem, I was hoping he'd tell someone. Great chapter again, I love this story!
Author's Response: LOL I was afraid the LOTR reference would be taken as a movie reference and the films didn't come out until 2001, so I almost didn't include it in the story. But I really wanted to include it because, well, Gollum rocks and all that jazz. And it does seem like something Nick would do -- hopefully he can handle the fall out that's coming from it, huh? And he'd TOTALLY say that he's too sexy for jail - you know he would! ...Brian definitely needed to tell someone soon, and Leighanne seemed like the best person to have him talk to about it. I'm glad you're enjoying the story, thanks so much for the reviews!

Sorry I'm so bad at reviewing. I just realized it had been a few chapters. So all this drama! Wow! I sometimes forget all that was going on in 98. I like that you included not only the strain on the relationship between the boys and johnny and lou but the strain amongst the boys as well. I am enjoying reading your interpretation of the events on 98 and can't wait for more.
Author's Response: I'm trying to include everything that would've been happening in that era as well as keeping it fictional, you know? It's a hard balance. At the outset of doing the research for this story, I was really upset watching the Behind the Music segment where Kevin talks about how they were uncompassionate towards Brian about his heart trouble, and I was wondering how it was that they could respond to something that serious with anything but full understanding. The more I write about the times and the things the Boys were going through, the more I'm coming to understand that it was a product of the pressure they were under and nothing against Brian personally. It's a really hard time in the Boys' lives to write, very challenging as a fan who watched it from the outside. Thanks so much for the review and I hope you enjoy the forthcoming chapters as well!

They made peace!!! They are Frick&Frack once again! *__*
And Kevin... really... you could pry a little bit!
Can't wait for the next chap!
