I think you lost me when Nick was sleeping cuddled up to Brian. And yes, they do make a cute couple and I would have bought that picture!

I loved Kevin. The way he went in panic when Brian started talking about marriage and his overprotective mode around Brian. (I tend to write him like that too, always trying to get Brian to eat XD)

But, on the serious stuff, I love how Brian is the one starting to have secound thoughts about Lou and whether if he is onlt interesting in how much money they could bring him or if he's really interested in them as human beings. Well, we know the truth but it will be great to finally see how these guys really would face the truth.

Author's Response: The whole time frame in BSB history is so jam packed with things going on - I feel like covering every aspect of it is nearly impossible. Questioning Lou and Johnny is obviously a really important part because of the way everything unfolds but at the same time it's really hard writing either of them in a way that they could be seen as anything but the heartless bastards they ended up turning out to be in this particular time in BSB history. I think writing Lou even slightly likable has been one of the biggest challenges thus far. All I wanna do is make him look like the jerk he is... lol... Kevin was really fun in the part about Brian asking about the marriage. I was trying to figure out how to subtly work in Kevin's almost simultaneous proposal without going over the top and I think this was a good way to kinda nudge his character into that place. And for the record, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the picture either!! haha Thanks for the review!

Why I have the feeling that, at the end of stories, the one that will keep his promise would be Brian and not Nick? XD

Author's Response: Hmm... Nick and Twinkies. Do you think he made it to the end of the night at least? LOL :) Thanks for the review!

LOL! This was a really cute Frick & Frack chapter! The ending is cracking me up, but I loved the whole thing. I miss these days, when it comes to those two. The whole basketball thing reminds me of the Disney Channel concert, when they play b-ball in New York. Aww, memories!

Author's Response: Aww the Disney concert! I need to watch that segment again. My favorite was that stupid plastic monkey hanging on the fence. I have a picture somewhere where Brian had jumped up against the fence and was imitating that monkey thing. LOL So funny. He's such a goofball. Nick's horrible braids. Bwahahaha! Yes I definitely need to watch that again. I'm really having fun writing young Frick & Frack and their interaction. They really were a pair back in the day. I miss that about their dynamic now. It seems more of a Howie/Nick relationship these days. But aww!! Thanks for the review! Gotta dig up the Disney special now.

Love it! "Spiderman, Batman, or Kevin!" I liked the Frick and Frack moments. They've grown up so much that sometimes I forget how young and silly they were, until you watch an interview or something from that era. I really like your attention to detail on that time with even the weather, gives it an authentic feel. You are doing well with balancing your imagination and with some historical accuracy. I like it.

Author's Response: I've found myself looking up the most ridiculous things to provide a bit of accuracy to the history going on here... everything from watching old weather reports (who knew those were online over fourteen years later?) to old interviews. It really is funny to see the difference in Nick and Brian (most especially Nick! holy cow!) since then. I'd forgotten so many little details about them from that era - like Nick being heavy set or Brian's curls on his forehead - that it was nice to revisit them at that time and really appreciate how far they've come. Thank you for the review!

As soon as I saw the email notification about the date, I stopped working and read the chap. Thank I'm alone in the office!

I love the old-school FrickNfrack! And oh, Nick, I'm sure that Brian won't forget about you.

Now I have to decide which idea is worse: getting out and catch a cold (poor Brian lol) or have to face the deadly eyebrows! XD

Author's Response: Always happy to be a distraction! ;) ...I think facing the Dirty Brow would be worse than a cold, but I'm not sure! Spending time with Nick whining about a cold might be worse than actually having a cold or facing the eyebrows, though! I'm glad you're enjoying the story!! Thanks again for the review.

So I am reading this instead of working. I read all the chapters in one sitting, it is so adorable. Love the star wars references and asking if Kevin would win a fight between Batman, him and Spiderman. (I love Batman myself) I love the little details you add in like Nick's hair fluttering and little descriptions, it adds a whole new dimension to your writing. Great so far, Hannah! I always enjoy your writing!

Author's Response: Haha!! Well if anything's gonna keep you from working, I'm glad it was me! I'll happily be your at-work distraction. ;) I'm glad you're enjoying the stories so far Tracy! If I had to choose, I'd say Batman, too. Although I think my favorite super hero is Ironman honestly. I freaking love that movie. Little details are my specialty. When I write I can literally see the scenes in my mind like a movie, so I try to just describe everything I can so other people see the same things I do. For me the little things have always been the best parts with the Boys. Sometimes it's the stuff we don't focus on that gives them that extra "something" we can't put our fingers on when we try to explain why we love them. ;) Thanks so much for the review!

Hahhaha busted!!!!! I'm really enjoying this story.  You have some great humour in your writing! Also I'm a little biased that you placed them in Montreal:) Looking forward to reading more!

Author's Response: haha No need for bias, I'm using actual tour dates. I'm killing myself with research here. ;) I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far! I'm having a lot of fun writing it (especially the funny parts!) Thank you for the review!!!

When Leighanne was talking about how they would buy an house with an apartment over the garage, I totally imagined the three of them like Monica, Chandler and Joey from Friends. Truth is that Brian and Nick are really like Chandler and Joey XD

And we're starting to see the first signs of something that it isn't right with Brian. Yay! Sorry, I shouldn't be that happy for Brian's drama, right? lol

Author's Response: Haha.. Frick & Frack really do act a lot like Chandler & Joey. I completely forgot about Chandler saying that to Monica about Joey living over their garage. That was a complete accident that the two stories are reminiscent of each other. That's great! LOL I love Chandler. Friends was such a good show. And yes, the first signs of Brian's illness are manifesting themselves. It's so easy to ignore something that comes on slowly like heart conditions do, sometimes the symptoms get chalked off to various circumstances and are compeltely overlooked. I'm trying to capture that sublety of the situation. Thank you again for the review!!!

Oh man, Nick! *shakes her head* The funny fact is that he probably thought over the joke all the time until he got it! lol

Can I say that I loved the business man afraid that Nick could drink? lol

Great chap!

Author's Response: Wouldn't YOU be afraid if you saw Nick attempting to drink after that first encounter with him? LOL Thanks for the review!

OMG I think my favorite part of this chapter was the Rugrats stuff! I remember that episode, with Chuckie and the bug. And REPTAR!!! Love. LMAO. I also loved the part when Brian realized he'd said "ours" before Leighanne said "we" and how that made him consider asking her to marry him... aww! I wonder how long it will take him to get out of denial and realize it's not normal to be gulping baby aspiring because your chest feels right all the time. More soon! :)

Author's Response: I want Rugrats on DVD. I swear. LOL I was talking to my sister about the Rugrats when we were on our way back from Nashville a couple weeks ago and we were recalling all these episodes. Chuckie and the bug was one of my favorites. That one and the one when Angelica and Suzie have the fight about which babies are better and they set up like an obstacle course... LOL... Anywayyyys. :) Thank you yet again for the review!

This chapter made me laugh a lot, especially the way you write Nick - saying "thank you" in French to everyone he clobbered on the plane, not getting the blonde joke and then finally getting it at the end of the chapter... he cracks me up! Poor Brian, though, feeling so sick and tired. :( I love all the old-school references - Baby Duck, Lou, Johnny, NSYNC LOL. You've done a great job creating that late '97 feel LOL.

Author's Response: I feel like I watched a billion interviews to bring back that immaturity about the Boys to capture this. I'm glad that you felt the 1997 in this. That's one of my greatest worries about writing this story is capturing their maturity levels appropriately. It's funny how much the Boys have changed over the years. It's like who the hell are these dudes when I watch those old school interviews. LOL Thanks for the review!

Yay, I'm glad you started writing this story! I'm enjoying it so far. I like how you started with Leighanne's ultimatum and are now backtracking to build up to that point. You do such a great job with Frick & Frack; I loved Nick's excitement over the Spidey gloves (they do sound pretty cool) and how Brian knew exactly what to get him that would make him that happy. Brian's whole story about Batman and the comic was really cool, too. Looking forward to more soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! (Feel free to concrit me if you want, haha yes I lurked on the boards and saw that discussion). My nephew actually had a pair of those gloves and my mom used to get so mad because he would Spidey-wrap my niece with them and eventually she took them away. Hmm.. does this make my mom Kevin?? ;)

That is what I've been searching since forever.

I loved the explanation behind Brian's joking and being goofy and how it makes him feel like a superhero because he's able to bring a smile or make people feel better just with a simple joke. That is what I love most in Brian and tieing it with an insecurity and a way to fight a fear, it's really great.

Brian and Nick. Do I have to say something more? I love your FrickNFrack! lol And I went all "awwwwww" about the fact that Nick, even not knowing, had chose something so precious for Brian. That's the beauty of their friendship.

Also... lol, I remember the scene from "This Is Us" about Brian and Nick hearing their song in the Walmart (mostly because I read that story thousand of times, along with Something Beautiful).

I guess I don't have to say that I'm waiting for the next chap, right? XD

Author's Response: It was funny as I wrote this story, I forgot that I'd done that in This is Us as well and when I went back I had to laugh because they were even in the same part of the store when they heard it. I realized this is one of those writing quirks everyone was talking about on the discussion boards this week. ... I wanted to tie Brian's humor into the insecurity of his heart disease because most everyone has a reason for being the way they are and the psychology behind really hammy humor like Brian's got is that it stems from some defense mechanism... so that led me into thinking about why Brian was the way he is and it tied in nicely here. ... I love Frick & Frack and I'm excited to use this title for them in the story. It's coming! :)

Yay! New Brian story and a heart surgery one too. I like it so far. I liked the whole thing with the Batman comic. It's been too long since I read a good Brian heart story, I look forward to your take on it.

Author's Response: The Batman comic element is based on two things. One, a friend of mine that's made similar comments about Batman, and two, I have a soundbyte on my PC from God only knows what where Brian says something about Batman having a bad day and Nick's giggling in the background... LOL I just thought I'd share what brought Batman into the story. Thanks so much for the review!
