Poor Howie, that's just awful news to hear. He's going to need a miracle or a liver donor pretty fast :(

So happy to see this updated again. Since I read those few chapters last year I was excited to see where you would go with the story or if you'd change it. Howie should have known there would be repercussions after his little tirade of drinking. Poor Howie just can't get a break. Can't wait to see the next chapter :)

I need to get back into a writing routine so I can start updating again. Things are just kind of on hold right now, but I promise I haven't abandoned it!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Brian and Nick moments in this chapter. I think it's refreshing that Brian hasn't shut Nick out. I was worried that you were gonna make Brian come across as a total ass who was unable to accept what had happened between Nick and Howie. Thanks for not doing that. :)
I could totally see the boys actually referring to Brian's past behaviour as the "Blurry Brian phase". That whole situation with the House of Carters bit was just weird in my opinion. Like everyone couldn't figure out who he was ... WTF?? That still irks me to this day.
Anyways, excellent update and I'm still "team Nick."
Author's Response: LOL Thanks! I enjoyed writing the Brian and Nick parts too. I think Brian is having a harder time accepting what Howie did than what happened to Nick because I think he sees Nick as a victim of this (maybe because the way he found out about it was from Nick accusing Howie of raping him LOL). I think it would take a lot for Brian to completely turn his back on either of them, but especially Nick. Blurry Brian is what we called him on the forum back in the day after House of Carters, but I could definitely see the guys adopting the same nickname. You know I love Brian, and I can see how an appearance on House of Carters would conflict with his Christian solo career at the time, but it was definitely weird and kind of douchey of him to do that. Ah well... ancient history! I'm glad Frick and Frack seem to be intact these days. Thanks so much for the review! :)

LOL yay for HIV Howie's b-day. I love the Frick and Frack in this chapter. I'm a sucker for them (as you well know LOL). But it's cute between the way he could read Nick and the blurry Brian references. I also enjoyed tackling the aspect of what to tell the fans. Cause they have to say something or this will snowball. Loved it as always!

Poor Howie, I can't blame him for wanting to stay in the closet when Nick could never reciprocate his feelings for him. His life is much too screwed up. I hope Leigh makes a call or comes for a visit.
I wonder when the next heated confrontation will happen between Nick and Howie. Howie will probably want answers as to why Nick didn't just let him die, and Nick might say something about wanting Howie to be responsible for the consequences of his actions. IDK but looking forward to the next update :D
