Not another cliffhanger! Well, I shouldn't expect anything less. I'm glad they're all together again... but I probably shouldn't be.
I certainly enjoyed AJ's entrance and Brian's moment of levity. Kevin's attempt to keep their captor's motivations from Nick was spot-on, too.
This feels like it's going to be a kind of reality TV taken to the extreme. There's also definitely the 1984-esque danger of constant surveillance--who knows when what anyone says or does will be overheard or seen.
Looking forward to what happens next!
Author's Response: Everyone seems pretty happy that the boys have been reunited. Unfortunately, it's probably not a good thing. :P Of course Kevin would try to protect Nick. It's that whole "big brother syndrome" playing out again. I like your reference to 1984. I had never thought of that!

I'm so glad you wrote this chapter from Brian's p.o.v.! His escape attempt was rather thrilling, if unsuccessful; very in-the-moment, from the detailed observations at the start to his panic-induced focus at the height of the action. I rather hoped he might succeed, but I knew it was unlikely. I'm glad he gave it his all, even so.
I liked how AJ and Nick tried to warn Brian and give him a chance to escape. They passed their first test of solidarity with flying colours. ;)
I can't help but think, given the assailants' comments, that the boys' indiscretions, especially Brian's, are well known to our villain and will be used against them soon, once they join Howie and Kevin in that cell/room.
I'd better go read the next chapter. Great job with this one!
Author's Response: Poor Brian. He really did give it all he had in this chapter. Originally, I had thought about having him be successful in terms of his escape, but I quickly changed my mind. It just worked out better to have the three of them all be taken at the same time. I'm glad that you were rooting for him though!

gasp! A hell of a cliffy. Noooo. Hehe. I am kind of glad that they are together though. Power in numbers? Maybe not... That's ok, I look forward to her explanation. What's the nut bag going to say now? I really thought they would spare Nick the knowledge that the situation is "his fault"... According to Sarah. But im sure she would've told him, so best hear from the guys right? I was hopeful that one bodyguard would've been good, but no, dirty dirty. Hehe. Look forward to the next installment.
Author's Response: I had to leave you with a cliffy. Not much else happened in the chapter (aside from the guys all being back together), so I had to interject at least a little bit of suspense. I think that Howie told Nick for the reason that you mentioned. It's better that Nick hear it from his friends as opposed to from nutty Sarah.

I like the fact that they are all back together again. And poor Nick, once again I had to laugh when Brian said Nick thought it was all his fault. Awkward...I am looking forward to hearing what Sarah's explanation is going to be. Hoping to hear two words...naked Twister! :O)
and no worries about me being a psychopath. I just enjoy writing them and occasionally thinking like them. I'm kind of like the crazy person's version of visiting grandma and grandpa's house. Think of ways to maim and torture the boys and then send them off on their merry way unharmed. LOL

Although, I pretty much feel the same way. I don't know if I have the heart to be able to kill one of them off ... unless it was peacefully from natural causes or something like that.

Ut-oh! Well looks like phase two has now officially begun. Is it sad that I already have your story mapped out in my head lol visions of Nick being separated from the rest of the guys and having to choose who will be tortured or die first type of a deal. At least if I were a kidnapping psychopath, that's what I'd do. Although I wouldn't kill them, I'd just make it look like I did and she's plenty rich enough and clever enough to do that. Very intense scene there with Brian trying to make his escape!

You really never let your readers down! Satisfied, I am well satisfied with this chapter and hungry for more! haha! Oh wow, the action scene with brian, I can very much imagine how it all happened. Im glad you placed him in that position, and i am hoping for more scenes like that with everyone. :) Now they are off to see the cause of their misery, and nick is up for the time of his life with a fan. haha! I truly cant wait for more, im looking forward for more twists on the plot and revelations on the chapters to come! :D Can't wait!

Wow, that action was awesome. I'm scared of big meaty Vinny. At least Brian got one good shot in the dudes nuts. Lol. Ay yi yi though. Now they got all of them. Each chapter just makes me that more interested. I didn't think it was possible, but apparently it is. I feel for all of them though. You had my heart beating fast wondering if Brian was going to make it.
Author's Response: Brian gave it all he had, but it just wasn't enough to get past Vinny and Joey. Vinny is one scary guy. I think that if I came face to face with him I would just cower in a corner and beg him not to hurt me. Hahaha!

I appreciate how you made this chapter, which was basically just to make Nick, AJ and Brian aware of Kevin and Howie's situation, into an opportunity for some bonding / character development. That part was far more interesting, mainly, I suppose, because we as readers are already aware of the kidnapping. But the broadcast of the live feed makes perfect sense in terms of our villain's apparent plan.
Anyway, I thought the 'fight' and the guys' emotional states were well portrayed, especially the lingering jealousy between AJ and Nick and Brian's reaction to intercede on Nick's behalf. It's plain to see how overwrought they all are...
I just hope they can all stick together. Decision-making between three people is so very difficult!
It seems to me that the next move will either be by the security guard Joey, or the villain directly, to somehow get the boys out of the house, or the themselves will have the idea of leaving it for their own investigative purposes. ;)
Your writing is splendid, as always, and I hope you'll have the next installment up soon!
Author's Response: Decision making between three people is practically impossible on a good day. With these three, there are bound to be some major issues. The interaction between AJ, Nick and Brian was also way more interesting for me to write than the revelation about Howie and Kevin being kidnapped and video taped. I'm glad that you appreciated that aspect of the chapter. You're getting quite good at predicating what's going to come next. I'm impressed!

There were so many great moments in this chapter. It's probably wrong of me that I was laughing through the whole Nick and AJ fight/pity party. It seemed like such a real thing that could happen with those two. Having AJ's inner jealousy of Nick come to the surface and then Nick getting angry enough to use his fists. It's the visual image of them and then AJ and Brian on the floor which had me laughing. Then of course when AJ ends up on Nick's lap!
And getting back to Sarah and her management potential...she even can control their website! At least she's a smart psychopath. Also an incredibly rich one. See boys? This is what happens when you do things like Gold VIPS and cruises. You get rich psycho bitches thinking you are doing it for them personally! Way to go!
p.s.please do not kill Howie or Kevin. :O) If you have any homicidal urges you can fly in one of their misc people like anyone of the Carter clan or Leighanne? lol

FYI, I just about died laughing at your last comment about flying in some of Nick's family members and/or Leighanne just to kill them off. ROTFL!! That would be the most random plot twist ever ... although it may be kind of funny. The amount of money that some people have to spend on the boys astounds me! I have no idea how people can afford to do VIP at every show and after parties and cruises. I would be bankrupt and living in a box if I tried to do all of that.
