You reworked that chapter, which is good. I really think if a character is going to be in the background for a great while in the story, then it's important to develop the character. At least I try to live by that sentiment anyway. But, otherwise, looks like Stephanie is in quite some pain. Hopefully she finds something to help her more than Ana is.

Howie was adorable as a little kid. Don't know how we're getting Ugly Troll outta the bunch, but I suppose I'm really biased. It's a really good start to what you'll make into an awesome story. I have no doubts about it. And quite smart to advance the torment of school in one chapter for background information.
