I'm gonna be blunt right now, for some reason the beginning up until the flashback it seemed kinda forced but overall I looved the coversation between Nick and Alyssa and that's sad about his daughter tho. Loved it Mel!!!!!!!

I struggled a little with the beginning because I was orginally going to put a different flashback, but then I didn't like how it was fitting in so I only changed a few lines around in the beginning. I'm not sure how the flashback came off because I felt it kind of stuck out, but after the next chapter I'm hoping it'll make better sense.

I loved this chappie it was so sweet how Alyssa was soothing Nick, and now we know why Nick was so upset with the news of Kevin's baby, I mean, I had no idea they had died, I just thought he didn't see them =(. Well, so I guess till August with the next chapter huh?. Enjoy your vacation =)
Author's Response: Originally I didn't want to reveal as much as I did in this chapter, but it got kind of hard to talk about Katie and Serena without spilling the beans. Notice though I kept the details very secretive. All I said was there was an "accident." Of course as the story progresses you'll learn more about Katie and what exactly happened.

Author's Response: All will be revealed... eventually little by little throughout the rest of the story. This was just the first mention of them. I suppose I could've waited for later in the story to drop the bombshell, but I didn't want it to seem like oh yea I just randomly decided Nick should have a kid lol. Author's Response: Serena was the name that Nick and Katie chose for their daughter. When Nick mentioned that he was saying that he wasn't going to think any more of Katie and the child they have/had together. It was mentioned earlier, but it could've easily been missed. I'm glad you enjoy the story. I'll try to update soon.
