Yay Nick and his tough love! I have to admit that even though I am a nurse I get a littl epissed at people who mope around all day lke the end of the world is upon them! I know situation slike this can be difficult but Alyssa does need to be happy for whats she does have in her life and at leasdt Nick is still there for her!

OMG!!! I so thought about all of the comments I have written about Nick always giving into Lyss when I read this!!!
I loved how Nick just took control of the situation! Sometimes it takes being straight forward and harsh to get through to a person. I am glad that Nick had the courage and love to do it!
I too am so over depressed Alyssa!!!At first it was so sad, now it is just so annoying!! Hopefully she just had a break through and like you said things can start going up from here.
My heart also went out to Izzy in this chapter. I understand why she felt left out, but at the same time, I remember the time when Lyss brought up the subject of cheating to her, and she was very judgmental, so I understand why she wouldn't tell her, adn for some reason I remembered that Izzy didn't know, or maybe I just assumed she didn't because I thought only Teri and Tricia knew.
About your prequel/spinoff Idea! I love it! I think it sounds like a great idea! Although, I am more interested in what is to come of Nick and Lyss....what has already happened is also good to know too.
As for suggestions about specifics in the next story.... I won't really give any input, because I like the mystery, but I can't wait to see asshole Nick in the prequel.....I love asshole Nick, so that would be my only suggestion, make Nick naughty in the prequel!!

Well, maybe you self consciously impacted me there. I do take what my readers tell me to heart as I work on the next chapter. Depressed Alyssa is a drag, but I think I needed her to get to that point to make her change that much more signifigant. I'd say it'll be up for her from here, although of course it'll take a lil bit before she is 100%. And the chapter after next I promise will have a humorous element to it to break up all this heavy stuff going on lately.
I'm glad you like my prequel idea. I will polly work on both at the same time, we'll see how it goes. Right now it's so on my mind I think I have to at least get the first chapter out of my head. About Nick being an asshole though, we'll have to see... The story is actually going to pick up while he and Alyssa are on a pretty good note afte he just was a total asshole, so making him one is prolly not the best idea. But you never know... He may have his moments. The tour is going to get pretty crazy and Alyssa is going to probaby do some very unAlyssa like things for Nick's attention though.

You know I think your idea is fantastic so I don't really need to elaborate there. Second of all I really would like to see Nick and Alyssa find even more comfort with each other in the sequel I know you have something like that planned but nothing specific yet. I really am excited to see them finally be happy and together and how everything is going to be laid out. I mean hell I know what you want to happen and I love those ideas so really for me you can't go wrong unless you make them split again which then I'll throw my shoe at you lol! Even though I know it won't happen this time around.
Anyways loved the chapter, think it's really amazing that they're beginning to pull through this together. And you know I never even realized that Alyssa hadn't told Izzy about the affair. Like for some reason I completely forgot about her for awhile since she wasn't really all that present. Like she was but she wasn't at the same time. I do wish I could see Kim's reaction to everything and how she must be like "oh you poor baby!" to sean LOL!
Anyways awesome chapter keep em coming and yay for the sequel beginning!

I know you like my ideas! LOl We discuss them all the time so you don't really count lol j/k. I hadn't realized Alyssa never told Izzy either. She just really didn't fit in. This story was so Alyssa and Nick centered that outside of Sean and Shayla, other supporting characters kind of got pushed to the side. Like a lot of people mentioned that they would've liked to see more of the other guys. Next story I'll have more supporting cast I think. LOL I'd like to have included Kim's reaction too, but too much was going on to include it. Haha maybe she and Sean should get their own spin off LOL

Your last few chapters have definitely been very heavy and drama filled.. which is my favourite kind of fan fic, so I've been enjoying them greatly :D Sean acted like a major asshole when Alyssa finally spilled everything, but he's got a bit of a point. Not to say Alyssa's a whore or anything - she's definitely not - but that's gotta be a major blow to him. To find out his wife was cheating on him, with Nick.. who he's been suspicious of for God knows how long. Yeah, it makes sense to me that he would react that way. And it makes sense that Alyssa would be upset about it... however I don't think she should have been so harsh with Nick. If anything she should be welcoming his support and trying to work things out with him, that's what I think anyway. I mean I guess it's best not to jump into another relationship right away, but she and Nick were pretty much in the relationship already, just not officially. I hope all my rambling made sense. I love this whole climax part of the story, and I can't wait to see what you have planned for the sequel! Very exciting stuff, you must be pumped that you're almost done this one! Fantastic job hun! :)

This is tough stuff to get through and right now I'm thinking on lighter things yet to happen to get me through this tough stuff. You are right Sean maybe crossed the line w/ the whore stuff, but there was no way he could accept the news without getting angry and upset and defensive. Alyssa also should be more accepting of Nick's part in all this. But as you know, everything I do for a reason, so you'll have to keep reading to see how Alyssa's attitude impacts her relationship with Nick. They'll prolly need to take baby steps back towards where they were pre losing Zoey.

Well...it's all finally out in the open! I have to say I'm a little annoyed at Alyssa. How could she not see Sean's reaction coming? And why did she have to take it all out on Nick? I know she's hurting but if she would just let him in so they could grieve together. Going through something like that on your own has to be so difficult, especially with all the added drama!
Eventually she is going to hit rock bottom and I know that he is going to be there for her, eveen if right now she doesn't deserve it!

Author's Response: Yes finally! Well, at least open to their inner circle. I think Alyssa anticipated Sean to be mad, but not to the point where he would be asking all those questions to purosely humilate her. I think that's what really hurt the most for her. It was wrong for her to take it out on Nick, but I'm sure ou know that when we women are upset sometimes it's easy just to lash out on whoever is closest, which in this case was Nick. It is difficult to go through on your own, but I don't think Alyssa realizes yet that she needs Nick more than ever. You're right though... Her rock bottom is coming. Question is will she turn herself around?

I am so glad that Alyssa finally put everything out on the table with Sean. It had to hurt hearing him say all of those things to her, but honestly his reaction was quite normal and expected. If he wouldn't have reacted that way, I don't think it would have been realistic.
And way to go Nick for finally standing up to Alyssa and letting her know exactly what she is doing to their relationship. Nick is right, she has been selfish almost the entire story, maybe not purposely, or maybe under the premise that she was trying to do teh right thing, but all in all she was just trying to make sure she wasn't the bad guy (remember my villian comment?). I am proud of Nick for pointing out that he should have some say in all of this also!
I am so excited to see how this one ends....but kind of sad too.

Yea its nice to finally get THAT out of the way huh? I think Sean's reaction was for the most part appropriate although it was pretty effed up calling her a whore and all that, but we needed a bit of dramatic flair lol
I think Nick pointing out that Alyssa was being selfish was something that needed to be said. Not just for the sake of their relationship, but even for me purposely because as you know I've struggled with perfecting Alyssa's character since UMS through this story, but I've realized that she's always going to be a lil selfish. That's just her major character flaw, so now I am trying to use that to my advantage instead of getting defensive about it. She IS selfish although I don't think she means to be that way. In her current situation she's just so busy feeling badly for herself that she is not seeing beyond herself and how she is affecting other people. This will continue to impact her throughout the next chapter. You'll have to see though if she snaps out of it or not.
As for the next installment I prolly will start it off pretty quickly. I have at least the first two chapters planned out in vivid detail right now. I am also kicking around an idea for a prequel/spin off story that takes place during the B&B tour to give you a glimpse of their early relationship and that'll definitely get into some of Alyssa's earlier issues, but that's not definite yet.

What an awesomely explosive chapter...you did an incredible job! Tons of dialouge, tons of emotion...just ton of tons of stuff! The scene between her and Sean was unavoidable, and a little expected - but he did get very ugly, more so than I thought he would originally. But that scene with Nick and Alyssa...you know I LURVE IT...says so much...

Author's Response: It was a lot! This was one of the more action filled chapters I guess. Sean did get ugly (it was fun to write though) although it could've been a lot worse. I hope it came across as appropriate as effed up as it was. Haha and I know you LURVED the Nick/ Alyssa fight. Thanks for your help!

sean is such an asshole. it's interesting how in the beginning of the story he kind of seemed like the perfect guy and now we see this whole differen side of him. It's like his attitude or anger issues were completely hidden. And then with everything with nick... I think alyssa knows shes wrong but she's too hurt by everything to admit it. However, I still think that Nick and Alyssa will find their ways back to each other. At least I hope soooo...

Author's Response: It is, isn't it? I did that intentionally. I wanted Sean to seem perfect at first, but slowly have his flaws unfold as time went by. Of course who he is now was definitely brought out by his experiences in Iraq. He's a different man because of that. As for Nick and Alyssa I think you are on spot about Alyssa. She doesn't see how ridiculous she is being cuz she's so blinded by her own pain. She could let Nick in, it would make the healing process quicker, but its not always that easy I'm glad though that you still see a chance for the two of them. You could be right... They always do wind up drifting back together...
