As for the fate of Alyssa and her baby, you'll have to keep reading. I hope that you aren't too disapointed though. I'm working on the next chapter and would like to have it out this weekend.

Oh goodies, something is going on here! I hate Sean for being such an ashole, although it's probably very understanding since he got back. Anyways I guess Alyssa needs to tell him. She will hurt him anyways. If she doesn't she might lose Nick as well. Besides it's not fair to him either cause a promise is a promise!

LOVED this chapter.....although it is almost like reliving some of the things I felt.
I feel bad for Sean, because I know how difficult PTSD can be. It is like all these emotions that you don't know what to do with. You feel so lost in a place that should be comfortable. You feel almost empty, and it is hard to focus on anything that doesn't involve thoughts of Iraq.
At the same time though, I feel so bad for Alyssa. It kills me to think that I made the people closest to me feel that way. Granted I didn't ever get really angry, I just got mean. I was rude and disrespectful to everyone except my friends who were there with me.
I really hope you get Lyss out of the situation before it gets really bad. PTSD, gets a lot worse before it gets better, and if you write it the way it actually works, there is a lot a heavy shit that is about to go down.
Nick...wow!! I can't believe he blew up on Lyss like that, but at the same time it is almost like he has to do something drastic like that to get Lyss to pay attention to his needs also. The entire story Lyss has always seemed more worried about Sean than Nick, and Nick is always the one giving into Lyss. It is about time he stood up for himself and fought for what he really wants. I still feel bad for Lyss being in the situation though.
So I have wrote this huge comment.....I guess I will shut up now.
Great chapter though.... BTW....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Thanks for the b-day wishes... Sorry I took a while to respond. With my b-day on Tuesday and then I went back to work yesterday I kind of took a break from writing for a few days. I can definitely see how this chapter hit close to home to you. Sean is defnitely in a bad place and I'm glad you can sympathize w/both him and Alyssa. I decided to make Sean a little more of a loose cannon because when I did research PTSD I found that males tend to sometimes become enraged or even violent although I'm sure this isn't the same for every person. It just works better with what I have planned too. Things are going to get slightly worse. We'll have to see if Alyssa can get herself out of the situation she's in with Sean.
I definitely agree with you on Nick. It did come off harsh and evem I was like Wow... This is really mean, but I think it needed to be said to Alyssa. Any guy in his position would be pissed off and frustrated and scared of rejection, so Nick is just reacting to protect himself. So yea... I think he needed to have his blow up at Alyssa.
