wow! so much to take in in this chapter. Craziness!! I kinda figured something would come up that would cause alyssa to kinda hide from telling sean and this was a logical reason, so I can't say I'm too surprised by alyssa. I was surprised that sean came home out of no where like that. It definitely reminded me of the scene in A League of Their Own when Dotti's husband came home lol And I totally forgot about the PI but obviously he wouldnt have any trouble figuring out alyssa and sean lol. But I have this strange feeling Shayla might end up doing the dirty work for alyssa... which will probably be a nightmare lol this is exciting haha! awesome update!

Yea there definitely was a LOT going on there. Sorry if it was overwhelming. I'm glad that you understand Alyssa's dilemma. I'd say its a pretty decent excuse. OMG though I was SOOOO thinking of that scene from A League of Their Own too! (I heart that movie!) But yea it was kinda like that where he just showed up out of the blue and injured lol.
I know its been a bit since the PI but I had to get back to that. We'll have to see if Shayla spills the beans to Sean. Sean might just be a lot more perceptive than we give him credit for. Trust me plenty of action up ahead!

You know.....I knew this was going to happen! I knew Sean was going to come back and something was going to prevent Lyss from telling him about Nick. Although in this situation I can understand. I just hope Aylssa knows that dealing with someone who has PTSD is not only dangerous to the soldier, but their family also.
PTSD can be really hard. I know, I have it. I have had it for three years now, and even though it gets easier, there are still nights when you wake up in a cold sweat because I had a bad drea.
When I first started having problems, I actually pushed away all of my family members. I even left my husband because I felt that he hadn't been there, so he couldn't help me cope with it. All I really wanted to do go back to Iraq with my friends who were there with me, and since I couldn't do that all I did was drink with my friends who were in Iraq with me.
After three months of binge drinking, I finally realized that I needed to get some help. I was lucky that my husband understood the circumstances and came back.
He still didn't help much though. To me family makes it harder, not easier. You look for their approval the most, and everytime you have a panic attack you feel that they are critizing you.
Anyways, three years and lots of therapy later, I am finally to the point where I can take a lexapro and a xanax a day and get through the day pretty easily.
I know I am writing a huge comment here, but it really hits me hard.....
I know there is some stuff to be said about Shayla, but I don't feel like commenting to much on it.....
But hey how about this as an idea??? Aylssa never gets a chance to tell Sean herself because Shayla finds out the truth and spills the whole thing at Nicks B-day party!!!
Author's Response: Thank you for sharing all that with me Brandy. I figured that with your experience actually being in the military you'd be more sympathetic to Alyssa's choice in waiting to tell Sean. PTSD is pretty serious and in the next few chapters you'll start to see a much more irrational, impatient Sean. I'm so glad that you are doing much better today! This is definitely going to have an effect on Alyssa and Nick's relationship. You probably know by now that Alyssa has this habit of thinking that she can "save" people. She tried to do it w/ Nick in UMS and now she thinks she can save Sean when really Sean needs to work his issues out on his own. As for your idea for the party I can't say if your prediction is close or not, but lets just say Nick's party will certainly be memorable.

Oh my god. This was a great update, I see alot of trouble coming since shayla knows about them. I hope alyssa tells sean soon. I can't beleive there are 10 chapters next, will you continue with this or is this the end of the road for nick and alyssa. I like to see a sequel with them and the baby if they stay together. update soon.

All I will tell you is the title is When My World is Crashing (dunno if that helps much) There will be lots of trouble up ahead. I'd like to knock out another chapter maybe tomorrow since I'll be inside all day. (We are supposed to have a bad storm so...)

No, I can't believing that Alyssa is thinking about staying with Sean. As much as i like her when she is with Nick, I don't really like her when she is with Sean. I wanted to pull her hair when she didn't put her foot down for Zoey. I really hope you are going to put Nick and Alyssa together, they've been through hell and it's just not fair.. they have finally learned to love each other and they should be just doing that...
Author's Response: Well, Alyssa hasn't decides she's going to STAY with Sean per say. She's just delaying telling him the truth. All I can say is that there are 10 chapters left, so there's still time for Nick and Alyssa. Plus, remember... Shayla's got the info now... This will all come into play, so don't count Nick and Alyssa out just yet...

OMFG!!!!!!!! I knew Sean was going to come home from the title but the rest?!!!!!!!
She needs to tell him, I know it seems harsh with everything that he has been through but it will just be worse the longer she leaves it.
