It's funny. When I woke up today I thought "Wow, I would really love to read a new chapter of ATOS". So I lof into my email account and saw that you wrote a new chap! =) Made me happy! hehe
It was an awesome chapter even though I really didn't expect that! lol I didn't want Nick to sleep with her and am a little sad that he did. Okay, he didn't get off and didn't finish but still. I wonder if he will be honest to Alyssa and tell her about it.
I hope it doesn't take so long again to read another chap! =) But I am glad that you enjoyed your vacation! =)
Author's Response: Haha lol I read your mind! jk It wasn't the ending that I exactly anticipated either. I needed something a little more to buff up the chapter and BOY did I buff it up in a big way lol. It was a hard scene to write, but you need to keep in mind that Nick is still married and he was more going through with it out of obligation. I don't view it as him "cheating" on Alyssa or anything because Shayla is his wife and its kind of expected. Even Alyssa has said that she can't say anything about that. I think though it needed to happen. As for whether or not he'll tell Lyss I dunno... I'm not sure if he'll owe her an explanation plus there's going to be plenty of drama coming up soon. Thanks for the review!

The scene with Alyssa by herself and the feeling of being completely alone is so profound...I adore it!

Author's Response: Yea it definitely was a huge bitch slap to Shayla's ego (as if it wasn't bruised enough) but you are right. You know the saying. Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned... I thought the Alyssa scene was very thoughtful too. Kind of sets up where she's at as we go into this next phase of the story. Thanks so much Darbs! Couldn't do it without you!

wow. that was harsh. i feel bad for shayla but still that shows so much growth on nicks part. he just could not do anything but think of alyssa. i was thinking the whole time he better slip on a condom cause she is so probably not taking birth control. glad it didnt come to that. cant wait for more. great job.
Author's Response: Yea it was definitely harsh. One of the hardest scenes I've ever written because I wanted there to be sympathy for Shayla, but also I didn't want Nick to come off as a total prick either, so it was tough. I think it was a scene that needed to be written though. LOl I wouldn't worry about Shayla getting pregnant too. I know Nick has super sperm in the fan fic world but for him to impregnate both Alyssa and Shayla I think would be just a lil too much to swallow. (haha that may not have been the best choice of words)

That was like the best chapter I've read! Wasn't cheesy at all, I loved it!
I know the detective stuff with Shayla is coming up but it would have been a page turner had she overheard the conversation with Angel and Alyssa.

The detective stuff will be coming up again in another 2 to 3 chapters, but I think that Shayla is beginning to definitely start to figure things out and slowly put the pieces of the puzzle together. Question is what will she do when she figures it all out?

Someone recommended this story to me, when I asked for something to read over at the fanclub. Even thou I said I'd only read a completed story she did say that the first part was finished but not the sequel, thou that it was still updated. I love this story, and I seriously do hope that you plan on letting this work out for Nick and Alyssa in the end otherwise you're just plain cruel! So far I love it, it's romantic, funny, sexy, sweet and just perfect, so far. I hope it continues in the same way, even thou I sense that there will be a few complications down the road...
