Author's Response: Yea it is sort of the turning point of the story. It's more than halfway over. (Maybe 15 more chapters to go is my tough estimate) So this defnitely sets things up for what's to come. Thanks Sasha!

Great update Mel....what is it with you and making me cry lately. I know you said this was a cheesy chapter, but I totally cried when I read the note. I am so happy that Aylssa has finally really made up her mind to do the right thing. I am so happy for the two of them.
I loved the interation between Alyssa and Shayla at the gift exchange. Alyssa kills me with her comments.
I think that Aylssa made some good progress with Angel. At least now Aylssa knows that Angel has a valid reason for being rude to her. I am sure that Angel will come around. I did want to smack her a few times. What is it with me and wanting to hit your female characters. I have wanted to smack all of them at one point or another!!! LOL.
Great Chapter Mel. I am glad you were able to squeeze one in for us. Have fun in Orlando....
BTW.....14 more days til I finally meet NICK and AJ!!!!!

Aww... Seems I made a lot of people cry lol I'm sorry! The note definitely shows that Alyssa is beginning to take Nick seriously. We'll have to see what happens when Sean comes home (hint: in a few chapters) Alyssa was definitely funny trying to play off Shayla's hurtful comments. She's definitely smart enough to beat Shayla at her own game in that respect. As for Angel I did think that was an important scene. Although it didn't make Angel like her any better, it did at least let Alyssa know what she was thinking. I think Alyssa may win her over eventually too. It just is going to take A LOT longer than it did w/ BJ, Leslie, and Aaron. Ha about wanting to smack all my female characters! I dunno if its a sexist thing, but I'm sure that Nick will screw up a lil somewhere and do something that makes you want to smack him too. Lol I create frustrating characters what can I say?
Have fun at your concert if I don't hear from you. Lucky! BSB isn't coming anywhere near me :( And Nick has been looking mighty fine lately...

What a huge chapter...you did an excellent job, once again. I love the opening scene and Shayla's observations. The scene between Angel and Alyssa is a huge one, totally get where Angel is coming from, but I must say I was proud of Alyssa for how she handled it considering the shock. The end scene was awesome, HUGE...I think you did it perfectly. Every chapter you write gets better and better...you are amazing, my dear. Keep up the good work! Hugs!
Author's Response: Aww thanks Darbs but I couldn't do it without your help! I'm glad you liked the opening. I've been trying to show a bit more from Shayla's POV since I've been neglecting it sorta. I like how the Angel/Alyssa scene went myself. In a way you can't blame Angel. I know what it's like to be wary of your brother's g/f. She's only looking out to protect Nick because she loves him. BUT she doesn't have to be rude about it. I think it was mature of Alyssa to realize that she's going to have to win Angel over by showing her that her intentions towards Nick are true. Thanks again!

Author's Response: Well, it was such a big deal about the name and by giving the baby Nick's last name it shows just how serious Alyssa is about being with him.

I'm crying from this. The ending was so sad, but wonderful too! I loved this whole chapter. And I'm the sonogram, note, and name = jdfkadsjfkdsjfkdsjfkj...just too much and made me cry. This whole chapter, I adored it. Nick and Alyssa really are meant together. Please try to get another chapter or two out before you leave for Florida? I'm sure everyone would love that. :D

I love the name Zoey too and I thiught it really fit Nick to want to name the baby something a lil crazy like that. I didn't know that Zoey meant life. Hmm... That's very interesting.
