So much to say about this chapter...first, I loved it (of course)! The le leche woman needs to back off...she is TROUBLE...Alyssa is being smart by being more careful. I loved the whole MILF shirt dialouge, too funny. I think it is sweet that Nick is so into the baby, and that Alyssa is letting him be involved. Its amazing how open they are being with each other since she has let her guard down and come to terms with her feelings for him. I love the new dynamic between them, it is comfortable and hot at the same time. Excellent chapter, can't wait for more!!! Great work!

Alyssa and Nick's communication these past few chapters has been awesome and I feel like it really shows through their interactions with each other. Ok, so even though I agree that breastfeeding is the best thing for the baby, Kim really pissed me off her. I don't understand why she is so concerned about what Alyssa does with her baby...
And oh my God it is so true about everyone on a Marine Corps base (which I realized you said Army, isn't Sean a Marine?) knowing everyone else's business!! I could name off every woman that was cheating on her husband while he was in Iraq!!! It is like Army Wives the TV show....if one person suspects it, they will tell the entire neighborhood.
I am glad that Nick is being so patient with Lyss, he isn't pushing her, and I am also glad that Lyss is planning on telling Sean.... I just hope that when the time comes she can actually do it!

Author's Response: Kim is one of those people who thinks her way is the right way and that's that. LOL I figured in my mind that a base would be like that. Everyone knows each other and its such a small area and mostly all the husbands are in Iraq so I think it would be pretty noticeable if she was cheating or not. I've never seen Army Wives actually, but I prolly should check it out. Might give me some ideas! Nick is being very paitent w/ Alyssa. Let's see if he stays that way! Thanks a lot Brandy!

I know this is way different then what you usually write, so it might have been hard for you, but it was a really great chapter. I just love how you describe the relationship between Alyssa and Nick and, as much as I am against cheating on your significant other, I find myself rooting for them (of course, as I've already said and will repeat till he's done it, NIck should really grow some balls and divorce his wife!!!!)
Author's Response: Actually it came out a lot easier than I thought it would. I was REALLY surprised at how it turned out, so I guess they really do have amazing chemistry. I know you want them to be together even though its wrong. Mick SHOULD divorce Shayla, but since when does Nick do the right thing? He may wait around until he's positive that Alyssa wants to be with him.

Can't help but feel extremely bad for Alyssa... She can't exactly break things off with Sean since he is not there... But Nick should definitely get a divorce (whether he gets with Alyssa eventually or not).... I am quite torn about this story, which means it's extremely well written ! I'm off to read some more !

I'm not sure if Kim is going to say anything right away because that would be really bitchy. I think she just wanted Alyssa to know she knows so that hopefully it'll scare Alyssa into ending things w/ Nick. Will it ork? Prolly not, but Kim prolly won't say snything right away.

I wondered how long it would be until someone on the base called her on it. I'm a little confused as to why she is painting the nursery at the house when she is going to tell Sean about all this, if they do split up then she isn't going to be able to stay there it's an army base and she would no longer be an army wife!
I'm hoping that she tells Sean before this baby is born. I think it would be really cruel for her to let him believe that it's his once it's born, I mean there would be so much more bonding even if it only is through pictures. That would just be too harsh.
Nick leading Shayla on is just asking for trouble. Big thanksgiving dinner? I bet she says something!

Good point about the nursery. I think right now Alyssa is kind of trying to ignore that Sean even exists so while she's playing house w/Nick ots easier for her to pretend that this is her and Nick's place. But you made an excellent point that will be touched upon soon.
We'll have to see when she does tell Sean. It all depends on how long he's in Iraq for.
And Thanksgiving? I dunno if Shayla will say something, but Nick will have a bit of a confrontation with someone. Remember his siblings actually LIKE Shayla.

Author's Response: Yea its weird but if you think about it Nick's sibs know Shayla better from HOC. This will come into play soon. Kim was pretty mean to Alyssa again, but one day Kim might find herself in need of Alyssa. Question is will she be there or not?
