Two days in a row...such a deal! I am glad Alyssa is finally realizing that there is defintely something there instead of swimming in denial. Scary, sweet and sad chapter...when the kid starting freaking I thought she may miscarry for a second, so I am glad that the baby is ok. I think it is awesome that Nick could be there for her but very sad that he gets to get in, have a moment then get kicked in the gut. Can't wait for more, great update!!!
Author's Response: Yea I know lol Don't get TOO used to it. It's a slow progression and it definitely sucks for Nick to be jerked around, but its not going to happen in a day to have Alyssa turn around and I'm glad you see that. Yes, the baby is okay thamkfully enough. LOl What's a fan fic without some possible miscarriage drama? Thanks as always for your review!

Okay, so you already know what I think of the whole Carlos situation. I'm glad that Nick was able to be there for Alyssa. I mean, it's not exactly Sean's fault that he isn't there, so you can't fault him for that, but still Nick being supportive of her is bound to lead to fun and juicy drama. Their kiss was very sweet, and the baby kicking made that a very "awww" moment. Really great chapter Mel, I can't wait to see what happens next :)
Author's Response: Yea LOL I know all about your feelings on Carlos LOL. Nick slipping into Sean's shoes so to speak is definitely scoring points w/ Alyssa and of course making her predicament ten times more complicated. And I'm glad you thought the baby kicking wasn't TOO cheesy.

you know what i think is interesting about signs in life and searhing or not searching for them? To me, no one ever necessarily searches for signs until they find a reason to need one. Then, once they have that reason, everything that happens is somehow turned into a "sign". In a sense, I think seeing or noticing signs is almost a jinx. Life is weird sometimes.

Author's Response: That is a very interesting point there about "signs." You're right Nick can definitely use one right now which is prolly why he's reading into the symbolic meaning of catching a garter on his beer bottle lol Question is, IS it a sign or not? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

We just love your story the way yo write it. We love it so much!!!
We are anxious and we just want them to fix things up, but that´s readers fault hehehe we want them happy ever after. But you do your thing, that by the way you do it PRETTY amazingly.
As a writer, i´m learning a lot from you. At first i was just writing happy things. Just as a way of imagine something people would love to read. Now i´m focusing on writing something that some way or another could be real.
Can you mix it will be very very different to stella. You´ll see.
Author's Response: Thanks SOOOO much for the compliment! It really does help. I think every writer gets frustrated with their stories from time to time. It's normal. It's just a matter of plowing through it. I'm not saying the story WON'T have a happy ending, but before every rainbow there's a storm. I'm honored though that I can be an inspiration to you. It's important to write what YOU want. If you're not comfortable with sunshine and butterflies then you don't have to write that even if people like it better. Likewise you shouldn't write more realistic, angstier stuff if its not you either. It's all about finding your own voice.

Hey honey! I read your chapter yesterday but didn't get to write a review right away because it was close to 2am and I was dead tired! lol
Don't get frustrated over your story Mel! You are an awesome writer and there shouldn't be reason to.
I know sometimes it's hard to write and come up with new ideas etc. I feel the same. I haven't updated my story since February. It's not that I don't wanna write or that I have no ideas... Sometimes it just takes time. And all your reader will understand if you need a break. A good story isn't written in 5 minutes.
I loved the new chapter. I think it's good that Nick finally opened up to Alyssa. But I think that she doesn't take him seriously. Maybe he should threaten her that he won't play her little lying game about the baby to make her see that he is indeed serious and that he wants her and the baby.
I am already wondering how the story will continue! =) I can't wait for a happy end. Even though the third story sounds like a lot of drama - O am looking forward to it, too. I will keep reading faithfully. Even if it takes until next year! ;)

Thanks Franzi! Really I think its frustration where I along with my readers just want Alyssa and Nick together, but if I stray from my outline it kind of defeats the purpose of the story. Things have to happen the way I planned them for certain reasons though. I've adjusted some things so hopefully it comes off more positive. I've gotten a lot of flack about UMS being too depressing and I don't want this story to end the same way.
As for the new chapter you're right Alyssa has some doubts but can you blame her? Nick has never been the best at backing his feelings up and showing her they're true, so you can see why she's hesitant. As for Nick threatening her... I don't know if that would help much. It would probably make things worse between them and just be hurtful. But there are other things he can do to show her he's serious about the baby... Thanks for the review!

Dear Mellz.
I´m absolutely amazed at Nicks behaviour. I guess he just shows that he can be the craziest and then come to his senses, know what he wants and just tell it in the eye to her.
Alyssa on the other hand, i understand maybe a bit of her. but. you can´t love a man and torture him like that! knowing you´re having his child, just keeping him from your pregnancy and then just pretend with sean and hurt nick so badly.
I truly believe in Alyssa´s big heart. She must stop this as soon as possible. Because that was not a great idea, everybody, absolutely everybody is being hurt.

Author's Response: Yea I think Nick just realized that the only way to make things better between him and Alyssa is to come clean with this feelings so she at least knows where he's coming from even if she doesn't feel the same (or refuses to admit that she does lol) As for Alyssa it truly is a complicated situation and she's mixed up and confused enough as it is. Will she come around? Perhaps... All I can say is the truth will prevail eventually. Thanks for the long comment! I'm working ion my next chapter now so hopefully I can get it out tonight or tomorrow.

Ok...first off. Always, was my first serious boyfriend and my song. I still get tears in my eyes every time I here it.....Second, great chapter!!!!! I must admit, I wasn't as mad at Aylssa as i expected. You can tell that deep down she feels the same way about Nick. She just feels like since Sean is in Iraq, she has to stay with him. I think that once he gets back, she is going to realize that she really doesn't love him the way she loves Nick. I am really glad Nick finally got enough balls to tell her how he really felt....Some food for thought for Aylssa! Way to go Mel!!! Great Job!
Author's Response: Aww... Yea I'm a BIG Bon Jovi fan and I've ALWAYS loved Always lol It's such an amazing song and i felt like it REALLY fit Nick's feelings for Alyssa. I'm glad that you are seeing where Alyssa is coming from. I think she's getting a REALLY bad wrap from a lot of readers and yea she's definitely not doing the right thing, but it's not so cut and dry as it seems and I'm glad you realize that. She DOES care for Nick deep down, maybe even loves him, but she's trying to convince herself otherwise because she feels obligated to Sean. I'm trying to make that clearer as the story goes on. Interesting prediction! We'll have to see how soon it causes Alyssa to turn around. Pregnancy hormones are bound to complicate things even further. Thanks for the review Brandy!

Another great update...love the foreshadowing with the garter. I can't wait for more...especially to see what happens in the aftermath of Nick's profession of love. We haven't heard from Sean in a while either...hmmmm...great job!

wow! what a chapter. didnt think nick would admit it so quick. love the garter scene. and your right i definitely want to kill alyssa. i understand her hesitance with him but nick better not taking it lying down. thats his kid too and even if she doesnt wanna be with him he better not let her pass it off as seans. and i really dont see sean staying with her if he finds out especially if nick wants to be in the kids life. cant wait for more! youve got me riled up lol
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the garter scene. I was hoping it sort of lightened up all the heaviness. I knew you'd want to kill Alyssa lol. Well, Nick is in a tough spot because if he does fight for the baby he'd be bringing it all out in the open and it would get really ugly. Not to say that he's not going to fight in other ways. Anyway yea... You'll just have to wait and see what happens, but i think Alyssa needs some time to come around again.
