*bangs head against computer table* Stupid Nick, Stupid Drunk Nick, Stupid Drunk Poor Nick!!! LOL I swear I had to read the part with Nick and Alyssa on the boat through my fingers, wondering how it was gonna play out!
It's gonna go down hill from here, even if it may seem stable nothing can hold onto the edge for long before it all comes crashing down!!!
I'm also wondering if Sean finds out about being sterile before Alyssa tells him and he keeps quiet etc if he comes back before she has the baby!

Interesting about Sean finding out he's sterile on his own... He might be back in town for the lil Carter's arrival though...

wow, i really didn't think alyssa would do that, but at the same time i knew she wasn't going to leave sean for nick just like that. and the whole thing with nick running back to shayla cause he feels sorry for himself is a very interesting twists. you make me curious. :) good update, can't wait for more!!

Oh no! This is really breaking my heart. I felt like crying with Nick! Why couldn't he just tell Alyssa that the only woman who he ever considered to have children with was her! It could make a world of difference!
And why did he had to call Shayla?? I really hate him for doing that! Damn I got the feeling of helping them by shouting to both Nick and Alyssa... LoL. Then I realized it is a story... Whahahahaha

Author's Response: I think Nick admitting that just might have made the situation even harder on Alyssa actually. It would just make her feel even more conflicted inside. And he called Shayla because he's a guy and is looking for some comfort *rolls eyes* lol 'm glad you're so into the story though Heidi. Yelling at characters is a good thing lol

*shocked face* wow, you know i was sort of expecting that to happen, i mean, alyssa's decision but reading it was really shocking, and poor Nick, he's so hurt, I was about to cry here, and he can't give up on that child and how cruel of alyssa to ask him to be the godfather, i think that's even more painful than not being in the kid's life; and now he's going back to shayla, not what i wanted, lol, but like you said it's a long story and there'll be twists and turns ahead, we'll just have to wait to see what'll happen. This is for me one of the best fanfics i've read, keep up with the awesome work Mel and update asap :D
Author's Response: Thanks for being understanding! You're right there will be LOTS of twists and turns and highs and lows. I know Alyssa's desicion is highly controversial, but I love these kind of things. Nick is devestated which is half the reason he's crawling back to Shayle. You'll just have to see what happens next. I'm so honored though that you consider this one of your favorite stories of all time though!

Just kidding but you are right - I am really disappointed... I know Nick is insecure but I didn't think he would give up just like that. It's his child after all... I don't think he will be able to just be his/her godfather. But did he have to run back to Shayla??? Like for real? This sucks... Pretty, pretty please update soon! You had me crying here for a moment and I want something to smile about again!

Author's Response: Aww I'm so sorry sweetie lol I know it is disapointing, but like I said things happen for a reason. I think that Nick kind of feels a lil trapped because if he fights Alyssa on this they'd be pretty much done. We'll see what happens though. As for him running back to Shayla i can just totally see Nick being the type of guy who can't live without a woman, even if its a woman that treats him like crap.

Ok...Mel you can't write chapters like that anymore (j/k) I look like a fool trying to hold back my tears in the office!
It was soooooooooooooo hearbreaking, I just feel like giving Nick a big hug...
I just hope Nick won't do anything stupid (it's bad enough that he is entering a love less relationship just because he can't be by himself, let's pray Shayla doesn't end up being pregnant as well!!!!)
I understand where Alyssa is coming from, but truth is the best policy.... Asking Nick to keep it a secret and asking him to be godfather is slightly cruel...
