She is FINALLY pregnant! hehe I am so happy about that. But I can't believe she didn't even think for a second that it could be Nick's baby. I hope she will when she went to the doc who will tell her how far along she is.
I completely understand that you are busy in life. Take all the time you need if it results in another great chapter! I will stay and wait for my update mail! ;) Can't wait to read more.

But I guess she doesn't consider the chance that it could be Nick's because she figures outside of those two occasions with Nick compared to many occasions w/ Sean, there's way more likelhood that it would be Sean's. We'll just have to see though. Don't you love baby daddy drama? Lol

Author's Response: It's okay. I actually have done very lil writing lately because I'm sier busy. I just went away for the weekend, so its going to take some time to transition back into writing again.

awesome chapter..i love the ending cant wait for more...but i know how u feel about the teaching thing in new york..i am a building sub in westchester county i get benefits and everything but i lose it every june and i have to reapply for it to get it back in september....its impossible to get a job in new york

Ooh so you're a NY teacher too. Boy so you DEFINTELY know what i'm going through! I'm from Long Island and the job outlook is pretty dismal. The district I'm working only wants to hire teachers with a bilingual extenstion which I don't have, but I am certified in regular and special ed and going for my Literacy certification. I've been subbing a little over a year and would love to become a building sub because right now I'm per diem, but its a lot of being in the right place right time. Actually as of right now I have a pretty good shot at a 5th grade leave replacement *crosses fingers.* The teacher REALLY wants me in her room and already showed me everything its just getting the principal to commit. Today when I spoke to her she said she was going to talk to him, so yea... Pray for me! lol
I'll try to get another chapter out next week. I'm going away this weekend so I really can't before next week.

that was a good chapter even if it was annoying to write. But I'm kinda wondering about what's going on with Nick and Shayla since he was so casual about hooking up with alyssa. Can't wait for things to heat up!
Author's Response: Possibly... Next chapter that one will be answered I promise. As for Nick and Shayla I apologize. I have kind of been neglecting what is going on with them. They were kinf of put on the backburner for a bit because the next few chapters more focuses on Alyssa and then Alyssa's relationship with Nick, but I will keep that in mind and try to work some more of what is going on between Nick and Shayla when I can.

Aw, it was sweet that Sean called her. Spending your first wedding anniversary alone would definitely suck big time. It was really nice of Nick to send her flowers and keep her company. And kudos to him for not trying anything!! Those two are so adorable.
The fact that Alyssa's been somewhat tired and lethargic lately makes me wonder if possibly she and Sean achieved their goal of getting pregnant before he left. Of course, it could just be me reading into it too much. It's very possible she could just be feeling that way because she's sad he's gone. I suppose you'll have to write more soon so I can find out =) Great chapter Mel!

Wow Nicky kept his promise and was a good boy. Then again it would have just been soooooooo wrong for them to get together on her anniversary. I'm glad they did not go down that route.
They are not going to just let sleeping lions lie though are they? There is far too much history and passion between them for it to happen. There is no way I would be able to just stay friends with my ex after we had hooked back up and it was better sex then what I had with my husband.
I do feel sorry for Shaun, I don't think he would be too happy to find out who spent the evening with her.
Great chapter and I cannot wait for the next one.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yea it REALLY would have been so messed up for Nick to make a move on her on her anniversary especially when he can tell she's torn apart enough as it is. As for their desicion, we'll see, but it would definitely be difficult to act like it never happened. Guess they'll have to find that out on their own though!

i like the title of the chapter lots. haha i loved the snakes on a plane scene. nice friendly interaction. i think we needed to see them connect on the friend level not just the sex level cause its clear they are physically attracted to each other but like seh was thinking could she really settle down with him. loved it.
Author's Response: Thanks Mary! I'm glad you lik.ed them connecting on a friend level. I think its really important because in UMS they weren't as friendly with each other even though they were in a relationship. I really wanted to show a change in them that they can be really cool and comfortable around each other which is so important
